Deloitte Conflicts Center Of Excellence Manager, Independence Consultation in Wilton, Connecticut

The Conflicts Center of Excellence supports our audit engagement teams in meeting their compliance requirements related to identifying potential conflicts of interest. Responsibilities:

As a Manager in the Conflicts CoE, you'll use your analytical, research and investigative skills to:

  • Work closely with Conflicts CoE Managing Directors and Senior Managers, Lead Client Service Partners, Deloitte Independence Directors, Audit engagement teams, global Conflicts teams, and teams across Deloitte's businesses to support audit teams in maintaining auditor independence and identifying potential conflicts of interest.

  • You will support engagement teams with:

  • Applying independence rules and policy to client-specific fact patterns

  • Evaluating potential conflicts

  • Assessment of services and relationships for risk categorization

  • Engagement with the global Independence & Conflicts Network as needed

  • Engagement with Enterprise Portfolio Management team as needed

  • Supporting the development of procedures, and implementing process improvements for the Conflicts CoE

  • Reviewing and providing feedback to team members in India

  • Supporting the development of educational materials on Conflicts-related considerations for engagement teams

    The team

The Conflicts CoE team performs a critical quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte U.S. firm, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing services to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte U.S. firm and its professionals is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 to 8+ years of related experience

  • Strong oral and written communications

  • Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational and analysis skills

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • An understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms

  • Demonstrated team leadership competencies/experience

  • Client-service oriented mindset

  • Interest in untangling puzzles

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425 to $141975

You may also be eligible to participate in a sales incentive program, whereby you may be eligible to receive certain incentive compensation amounts based on achievement of certain sales goals set forth each year, subject to the terms and conditions of any applicable program document
