The Strategic Marketing Planner (SMP) serves as a trusted marketing advisor to his/her business leaders and key stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for developing best-in-class strategic marketing plans as well as overseeing campaign delivery.

Responsibilities
In general:
Work closely with the business Chief Marketing Officer (BCMO), senior strategic marketers, in-house Green Dot Agency (GDA) and stakeholders to determine fiscal year marketing strategies for Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) practice offerings
Develop overarching and specific marketing strategies to build visibility and eminence for A&A ESG offerings; act as a strategic advisor that translates business goals into marketing strategies. Responsible for architecting and planning best-in-class campaigns and activations
Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape and emerging trends for ESG; act as a subject matter specialist and serve as the primary point of contact for scoping, planning, and content development with subject matter experts
Build eminence in the marketplace by working with stakeholders and relevant Deloitte teams, including PR, to create new and relevant content (POVs, papers, other assets) and promote content through various digital channels (our website, social media, SEO/natural search and paid search)
Develop marketing plans and execute on corresponding campaigns and tactics in support of Audit & Assurance (A&A) business priorities
Collaborate across the A&A marketing team to connect dots and maximize leverage of opportunities for ESG visibility, in events and sponsorships, industry marketing, public relations/communications, digital and client marketing, among others
Collaborate across Marketing Excellence, especially the GDA, and other enabling areas in support of campaign activities and tactical management including:
Development of strategic briefs (business cases) for planned marketing campaigns
Facilitation of leadership/stakeholder approvals of marketing strategy, content, and deliverables
Strategic campaign prioritization and efficient utilization of GDA/vendor resources resulting in part from calculated budget forecasting and management
Oversight of the portfolio of campaigns and activities in alignment with business goals, including thought leadership, advertising, sponsorships, web optimization, collateral writing and design, and event execution
Reporting on campaign success, insights, and leading practices using metrics and KPIs to inform future tactics
Alignment and collaboration with Deloitte cross-business (Green Dot) programs and Strategic Growth Offering (SGO) marketing to drive synergies represent and advocate for A&A business and marketing perspectives and leverage and optimize resources
Monitor and track ROI across campaigns to ensure optimal performance; work with A&A colleagues to help funnel leads to Growth Team
Regularly connect with, and be accountable to, practice leaders and other stakeholders regarding go-to-market strategies, approvals on marketing assets, and to report back metrics from ongoing marketing campaigns
Develop deep knowledge and understanding of the suite of ESG services and ensure synergy with A&A national campaigns and recommend industry-specific and market-specific activities as warranted
Direct external vendors on executions, including creative, digital and media buying; monitor performance of campaigns that are executed by external vendors and manage to scope and budget
Share success stories and lessons learned with greater A&A team and Green Dot Agency to increase the effectiveness of campaigns
Effectively manage, coach and mentor junior resources on execution of marketing and provide relevant guidance and direction
Skills and Competencies:
Understanding of ESG services in A&A, and the priority issues facing companies and key buyers

Previous experience in B2B marketing; professional services experience is strongly preferred
Ability to work and manage teams in a primarily virtual environment

Qualifications:
Preferred:
10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing strategy with an eye towards down-funnel activities; experience in ESG/sustainability or professional services marketing a plus
Deep understanding of marketing strategy and alignment with business priorities; ability to drive strategy into tactical planning
Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results
Previous experience leading and developing a team of both direct and indirect reports
Ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations and influence outcomes
Previous experience managing vendors and contractors
Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing
Travel up to 10% is required for this role.
