Work you ll do
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Wealth and Investment Management Practice. Candidates will have deep wealth and investment management or buy-side industry experience and will demonstrate the capacity for constant development. Candidates should have the ability to identify and evaluate complex business / technology risks, demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes / internal controls, and communicate complex ideas clearly. Equally important are analytical and technical skills combined with exceptional business acumen, and complex problem-solving abilities across operational, investment and adviser compliance, organizational and strategic matters. Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to win the respect of clients / colleagues and work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional duties include:
Identify and evaluate business, regulatory and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assist in the delivery of tailored of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects
Actively participate in the execution of an engagement and ability to understand the broader impact of engagement impacts
Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo
Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
Participate in training efforts
Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches
Participate in proposal development efforts
Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations
Contribute to a positive team attitude

We provide a wide spectrum of advisory and consulting services to our clients, who include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry in addition to broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, investment partnerships, hedge funds, private equity funds, alternative product managers, and other money managers. At least 4 years of industry, vendor or consulting experience in an institutional or wealth management firm, mutual fund company, hedge fund, alternative investment management, fund administration/asset servicers, prime broker/custodian, private equity firm, financial services organization, technology provider, bank or consulting firm with a clear record of expertise, accomplishment and impact
A proven track record in building products / deliverables that meet the requirements of clients on time / on budget
Extensive knowledge of a wide range of investment products including mutual funds, alternative investments, wealth management, exchange traded funds, managed solutions, derivatives, structured products, hedging strategies, operations & processing, plus familiarity with a project management framework and industry regulations
Experience using, implementing, enhancing or supporting systems such as: trading & order management, reporting systems, fund/portfolio accounting & administration, risk management, compliance, collateral, 3rd party management or trade surveillance system
Full project life cycle skills from the business or technology side where responsibilities include: defining work flows, defining business, functional, and technical requirements documents, detailed project planning, data mapping and data migration, defining user test criteria and data, testing, status monitoring, problem tracking and resolution
The ability to support proposal development and contribute to the identification of new business
Experience in consulting or client service related fields and proven ability to present and communicate information effectively A strong understanding of risk (market / credit / operational) management as related to buy-side financial institutions
Advanced aptitude with Microsoft products including Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
Aptitude in business intelligence software such as Tableau, industry solutions such as business process management tools , process automation applications, cognitive technologies and/or blockchain technologies.
Familiarity with investment management or mutual fund systems such as: SS&C Geneva and/or WorldInvestor, HedgeTek, Wall Street Office, VPM, Investran, InvestOne or InvesTier, SEI Wealth Platforms, SS&C CAMRA or PORTIA, Princeton Financial, Eagle STAR, PACE or PERFORM, CheckFree and Risk systems such as Algorithmics, Numberix, RiskMetrics, etc. or order management systems such as Charles River, Linedata, Bloomberg, Black Rock Aladdin etc.
Extensive knowledge of trading, operations, documentation, fund accounting and reporting processes, and risk
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Must be willing to travel up to 75%
MBA, PMP, or CFA preferred
