As aCommunications Senior Specialist, you will support the development andexecution of effective internal communications strategies, plans, and deliverablesto drive an integrated strategy across Deloitte s Audit & Assurance(A&A) business. Working closely with a high-performing communications teamas well as with leaders and subject matter experts, the Communications Senior Specialist should have a strategicand executional mindset in order to manage multiple projects, while deliveringhigh-value communications to support strategic objectives. 5yearsexperience in communications is desired.


  • Reporting to theCommunications Manager, works with internal stakeholders to design, develop,and implement communications plans, processes, and content to drive key aspectsof the A&A strategy, specifically focused on areas of the business that focus on growth and deliveryof high-quality audit and assurance services

  • Interacts withmultiple communications team members to coordinate, support, and lead internal communications activities,plans, and timely production of business-wide communications deliverables thatenable and inspire our business of 10,000 professionals

  • Collaborates with external agencies and internal resources to designinternal communications and creative campaign assets such as newsletters,promotional videos, infographics, internal intranet sites, podcasts, and otherdigital resources to drive employee engagement

  • Writes and edits internal communications in support of A&A strategicpriorities (e.g., leadership messages, articles, talking points, webcast content,business-wide content, internal website pages, etc.)

  • Ensures appropriate sequencing of messages and campaign launches throughthoughtful internal communication plans

  • Maintainsdiscretion and confidentiality at all times when dealing with sensitive or proprietaryinformation

  • Employs strongproject management skills (initiating, planning, executing, managing, andclosing projects to achieve plan objectives)

Keyrelationships and development

  • Develops relationships with fellow change management and communicationsteam members, helps solve problems, and is a team player

  • Develops trustedadvisor relationships and provides communications counsel to key internalclients, including leaders across the organization

The team

As partof the A&A Change Management & Communications team, the InternalCommunications team provides value to the US Firm by delivering innovativecommunication strategies and approaches for internal audiencesto help ourleaders influence positive behaviors, drive change, reinforce successes, andpromote a strong sense of community through coordinated, consistent messaging.The team also collaborates closely with the A&A Marketing/PR team to ensureeffective and efficient collaboration as we build and protect our brand.



  • Internal communications professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevantcommunications experienceprofessional services or related industry experiencepreferred

  • Experience in employee communications as part of large-scale change management efforts to drive the implementation of organizational transformation efforts is a bonus

  • Strong writing andediting skills and previous writing/editing experience in internalcommunications, PR, or journalism fields required

  • Demonstratedexpertise in creative and content direction

  • Leveragee xcellent organizationaland project management skills; craft agile short-term and long-term actionplans

  • Exceptionalrelationship management skills to establish rapport, trust, and confidence withkey stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in corporatecommunications

  • Experience working in a virtual environment withteam members across multiple offices/locations

  • Proficient with MicrosoftPowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Officeand ancillary programs


  • Bachelor s degree,preferably in Communications, English, or Journalism
