Senior Legal Corporate Specialist Paralegal

The position requires the individual to (1) perform complex paralegal assignments supporting the attorneys in the Office of General Counsel (OGC), primarily those in the Corporate Group, and (2) apply leadership, management and administrative skills to help drive important OGC projects relating to internal process improvement, administration, and knowledge management.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing, revising, and negotiating software license, reseller, alliance and various other agreements.

  • Analyzing, revising and negotiating confidentiality agreements, and various other agreements.

  • Advising senior practitioners and risk managers of the Deloitte US Firms on contract-related issues.

  • Negotiating various agreements with counsel for clients, vendors and third parties.

  • Leading, and assisting in leading, important internal projects relating to internal process improvement and knowledge management.

  • Drafting documents and correspondence.

  • Managing important administrative functions, such as entering information into electronic databases and organizing and maintaining files.

  • Performing contract summarizing, proofreading, and redlining.

  • Organizing and maintaining reference materials and databases.

  • Familiarity with technology agreements, software functionality and having an understanding of software and new technologies (e.g. SaaS, blockchain, bots, IoT), is a plus.

  • Performing legal research utilizing legal reference publications, computer databases and other tools.

  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
