Deloitte Senior Full Stack Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

MissionGraph is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team, driving rapid growth of our big data and machine learning product startup inside of Deloitte. Excellent candidates will have experience leading the design and development of large-scale technology solutions. Great communication, an attention to detail, ability to zoom in and out on difficult challenges.

Work you will do:

Lead technical iteration on the design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of platform features

Mentor junior fullstack engineers

Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and other engineers on the team to enhance the existing platform

Troubleshoot operational issues in a rapid manner

Perform code reviews and other activities to improve code quality

Active participation on an Agile scrum team (e.g., planning, backlog refinement, demos, etc.)

Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent field)

  • 5 years of experience with software engineering

  • Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (preferably Java or Node)

  • Proficiency building front-end applications with JavaScript (preferably with React)

  • Experience with Linux/Unix

  • Proficiency with Git

  • Experience building and securing REST APIs

  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL

  • Affinity for learning new programming languages, tools, and applications

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

  • Strong ability to self-organize and meet set deadlines

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience with Big Data platforms (e.g., Cassandra, Spark)Experience with Search (e.g., Apache Solr)

  • Experience with Graph Databases (e.g., DataStax Graph, Neo4j, Gremlin

  • Ability to build solutions on AWS.

  • Experience with Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with DevOps technologies like Jenkins and Docker.

  • Experience optimizing application performance.

  • Experience with Test Driven Development and test automation tools

  • Familiarity with using Agile lifecycle management software such as Jira
