Work you ll do

As a Internal Controls and Audit Project Delivery Specialist in the Human Capital group you will:

  • Support best practices while taking ownership of tasks and/or project workstreams and guiding more junior professionals

  • Support and/or lead workstreams on engagements related but not limited to HR Service Delivery, Learning & Development, Communications, Change Management, and Compensation and Reward programs

  • Contribute to deliverables and review the work of others for quality and accuracy

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the client environment and overall project scope

  • Support a team responsible for establishing and performing Internal Controls and Audit (ICA) activities to design, track and implement controls and testing procedures that reduce the risk to program leadership, and allow for timely, seamless delivery of high quality workforce planning and hiring services

  • Objectively evaluate performed processes, work products, and services against the applicable process descriptions, standards, and procedures

  • Identify and document noncompliance issues

  • Provide timely feedback to project staff on the results of quality assurance activities

  • Verify that non-compliance issues are addressed

  • Coordinate ICA activities with the respective leads, and facilitate course correction, process improvement and innovation by way of sister PMO members responsible for these activities.

  • Facilitate external audits of program activities

The HR Transformation team is a core component of our Human Capital practice the work we do supports the five major issues our clients are facing. We collaborate with our clients to develop leading global HR strategies and support organizations in achieving excellence through implementing solutions that transform how they organize, develop capabilities, deploy leading technology, and deliver a leading employee experience.

Keeping the employee in mind, all our services cater to improving an organization s productivity through their human capital asset. The client issues we work with range from the need for a comprehensive HR strategy to determining the need for new and enabling technologies, to streamlining HR operations and transforming the way HR is delivered.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience with 3 or more of those years doing Federal Internal Controls and Audit

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • Experience developing internal controls to ensure legal and regulatory compliance for candidate selections for government employment in Title 5

  • Experience establishing the process implementation and testing of controls to ensure compliance with contract requirements

  • Experience developing and monitoring a Program Quality Control Plan ensuring compliance with applicable Agency rules and Federal Regulations required in Title 5

  • Experience reviewing and monitoring escalated complex HR cases to ensure compliance and/or determine corrective action

  • Experience establishing procedures for desk audits

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to manage small engagements or work streams and multiple team members with confidence

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization

  • Experience producing and presenting reports to executives

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgement

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to understand and respond effectively to complex or sensitive inquiries

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
