Deloitte Front End Engineer- Active TS/SCI Required in Washington, District Of Columbia

Work you'll do

  • Define, assign, and resolve bugs, features, and tasks to enhance or maintain a production codebase using Git source code management within an agile software development team.

  • Effectively modify and build frontend user interface components to merge quality software into an operational IC system.

  • Participate in multiple weekly agile development working sessions to ensure timely releases of bug fixes and new features.

  • Participate in peer reviews of merge requests from team members.

  • Perform pre-release testing of bug fixes and new features.

  • Effectively maintain and enhance the look and feel of the user interface in the production web application.

  • Consider things like button and test field placement, color and size of components, time to load metrics, avoiding unnecessary re-renders, and other typical UI concerns when developing features.

  • Utilize your expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and related components libraries such as MaterialUI to create the best possible user experience.

  • Create and uphold strong verbal and non-verbal communication.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

  • Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clientsandindustries/sectorsyou serve.

  • Ability to work in a controlled environment onsite at our client in Washington, DC.

  • 6 + Years of JavaScript and React development experience.

  • 1 + year of experience with MaterialUI.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity and experience with the

  • AWS Developer associate or higher certification.

  • Experience with software testing to include unit testing, and the use of testing frameworks such as React testing library.

  • Previous experience with Python.

  • Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, and User story.

  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,000 to $181,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
