Work you'll do/Responsibilities

Manages, communicates, and contributes to enterprise architecture efforts, engineering trade-off analysis and feasibility studies, proof-of-concept prototypes to explore technical implementation options and issues, engineering reviews, technical design and implementation bringing commercial best practices to bear.

Acts as part of a cross functional team, architect and design end-to-end cloud computing solutions to address customer technical challenges.

Works as a strong individual contributor, provide thought leadership and technical subject matter expertise and advance capability for the Department domain knowledge and capabilities that align with strategic/significant sponsor needs and challenges.

Contributes to the technical work program of one or more projects and provides technical guidance and quality products focused on successful outcomes.

The Team

The US Systems Engineering Offering delivers large scale software applications and integrated systems and assists its clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. The practice aims at developing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems. It would focus on key client issues that impact the core business by delivering operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience in a Computer Scientist role supporting engineering teams with technical implementation

• 1+ years of experience developing end-to-end cloud computing solutions

• 1+ years of providing technical guidance and quality products to customers

• 1+ years of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

• Bachelor's Degree required

• Active Top Secret security clearance required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred

• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.

• Degree in an IT-related field.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $126,000 to $210,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
