Work you ll do

As a Manager within our practice, you will:

Act as a leader for multiple financial management business process improvement and sustainment work streams, to apply federal financial management knowledge and previous audit experience to guide strategic approaches and tactical improvements in a complex and dynamic environment

Design and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activities, and work with clients to identify financial control issues and gaps

Advise our clients on accounting and financial reporting operations

Advise our clients on technical accounting and internal controls matters

Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects

Actively participate in the development of business and vendor relationships

Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process

Responsible for project(s) financials including development of financial plans

Manage day-to-day interactions with clients and internal Deloitte team

Display both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues

Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions

Provide counseling/coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff

Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process

Our GPS A&RT professionals help finance leaders solve complex issues impacting risk, integrity and efficiency. Our team helps clients prepare for financial close, address compliance regulations, improve process and controls around financial reporting, and implement new accounting requirements. Our practice can provide the support organizations need with a comprehensive approach to tackle the most challenging accounting and financial issues that impact risk within an agency environment.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other Business-related field

TS (Top Secret) clearance, or higher, is required

2 years in a technical or functional lead role

Experience mentoring and coaching others

Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

4 years of audit experience, audit readiness strategy (FIAR), complex business process and system reconciliations

4 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, validating, and reconciling financial/accounting information

Experience managing senior-level client relationships

Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)

Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience

Preferred:

Data Analysis and Analytics, FASAB/SFFAS application experience, audit liaison and response, CAPs/NFRs, business process design, stakeholder engagement, internal control design, testing and automation, enterprise risk management, statement of assurance, audit responses

Certifications including CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CFA, CISA, CIA
