Work You'll Do:
This role will be aligned to the product development team of Deloitte's Strategy & Analytics Hybrid Solutions & Incubation (HS&I) practice, focused on the life sciences industry.
As a data science lead working in this practice, you will play a critical role in designing, building, supporting and delivering an innovative technology solution that leverages analytics and artificial intelligence to reimagine the marketing function for life science organizations. This product suite is providing novel capabilities that enable life science companies to improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of their marketing decision-making while reducing operational costs.
The right candidate will utilize their extensive technical knowledge and experience from the life sciences marketing industry in order to lead the product's approach to developing data science based capabilities. This candidate will work closely with the product owner and engineering team in order to understand capability specifications and lead a group of data scientists to develop sophisticated analytical models to address the product's requirements.
You should have the ability to collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders, be able to translate customer needs into analytical models, and work across engineering disciplines to build and deliver world-class products.
Translate business goals and capability needs into analytical model design and machine learning use cases
Lead a team on the appropriate methodology and approach for data science solutions
Develop proofs of concept to verify your hypotheses and iterate in order to identify the optimal predictive models
Interpret the models that are being generated, and communicate the design and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Play a hands on role in in the agile software development lifecycle by reviewing user stories, grooming backlogs, running sprint review/sprint showcases and other similar activities
Closing the loop to make sure that the proposed solution is performing as it should and is correctly understood by end-users
We Expect You to Have:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university; Advanced Degree is a plus - equivalent work experience may act as a substitute to degree requirements
5+ years' experience in the Life Sciences/ Marketing industries
5+ years' experience leading/performing data science based analysis
Experience leading teams in the creation of data science solutions
Solid understanding of the multi-channel marketing optimization problem space
Experience performing exploratory data analysis to understand relationships, opportunities to influence outcomes and how to attribute cross channel outcomes
Experience working with large quantitative and qualitative datasets both hands on and managing teams doing the work
Experience applying clustering/sampling techniques to design
Ability to derive methods for reporting on analytic results that control for outside factors
Experience proposing analytic solutions to both technical and non-technical audience
Extensive hands-on experience working in Python
Knowledge of statistical methodologies including multivariate regression, Bayesian statistics, categorization methods, time series, survival analysis
Strong storytelling skills with experience presenting to large technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel (25%) periodically - as future will allow given current COVID19 restrictions

We'd Like You to Have:
Experience in new product development from ideation specification
Experience in agile software development methodology, and use of agile software development productivity tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence)
Ability to juggle many competing priorities/deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
