Business Strategy Senior Manager

Work You Will Do

SeniorManagers are central to our success! Youwill lead full-scale projects that range from fast, nimble sprints to large,complex engagements as we address our clients biggest challenges. Thesechallenges encompass everything from helping clients make strategic choices,build upon competitive advantage, define new markets, establish their path forgrowth, drive internal efficiency, accelerate cash flow, improve margin oroptimize their operations (people, processes, technology, etc.). You willdevelop relationships with our senior clients, you will develop and mentor yourjunior colleagues, and you will enhance your skillset by working with Deloitteexperts across the firm. You will helpus grow our collective practice, both commercially through businessdevelopment, and internally through eminence and followership. And importantly, you will develop the clientexperiences and commercial aptitude to be a successful Partner or ManagingDirector in Deloitte Consulting.

The team

Ourjob is to serve as the Strategy Architects for programs that transform ourclients businesses. To do this, we have assembled a practice of leadingexperts that each contribute unique capabilities and insights includingStrategic Growth Transformation, Operating Model Transformation and TechnologyStrategy & Business Transformation.

Strategyprofessionals are trusted CXO advisors to our clients, working with them tomake clear, insight-driven choices about where to play and how to win inorder to drive growth and enterprise value.



  • Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record

  • 8 years of professional experience, either functioning as a Senior Manager in a prior Consulting environment, or managing teams in general management operational environment

  • Experience crafting and implementing strategies for growth at the corporate, business or product level

  • Consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performing above expectations in professional roles

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills; outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

  • A passion for business development

  • Understanding of the implications of the impact of technology and other market-altering trends

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment; strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Ability to work independently; lead teams focused on specific work streams of large projects.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

  • Willingness and ability to travel


  • Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA) from a top tier program

  • Ability to interface with senior client executives in both verbal and written, structured and unstructured formats

  • Ability to define trends across industries and apply those impacts on client vision

  • Deep understanding of business sector ecosystems and how our clients can create value in dynamic, non-linear value chains

  • Basic understanding of the core emerging technology trends that underpin new competitors and business models

  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams of diverse experience and background

  • Ability to drive the sales cycle by identifying and nurturing business development opportunities, taking the lead in framing client opportunities and leading pursuit teams to create winning proposal content

  • Context to develop business transformation roadmaps and detailed financial business cases for change

  • Ability to apply analytical methods to create project analyses and recommendation support

  • Demonstrated experience with common business tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
