HeatX Seattle Front End Developer Studio Associate

Location: Seattle

One part designer. One part coder. A hybrid of sorts. However, you are full on when it comes to your front-line position creating dazzling user interfaces, new features, and bulletproof code. In this role, you will work with senior front-end engineers to push your skills to the next level. You are up for a challenge and excited to learn, but you do not need a lot of handholding when it comes to getting the job done.

Work You ll Do

  • Use the very latest HTML5/CSS3 technology to develop code alongside a team of developers (both front and back end, with different platform specialties)

  • Work closely with both external and internal clients, cross-functional teams on projects that range from a few weeks to a few months in length

  • Code, test, and troubleshoot software using the appropriate tools under the limited guidance of a lead engineer

  • Follow accepted coding standards and best practices, using agile software development methodologies

  • Assist in maintaining existing software systems, including bug fixes, enhancements, and miscellaneous maintenance

  • Demonstrate clear progress and a willingness to advance towards a more senior role

  • Use your expert communication skills to facilitate dialogue between internal and external clients and teams, as well as translating technical information, functionality, and limitations to non-technical teams

  • Work directly with clients using compelling written and spoken communication

  • Collaborate and work on teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in process or completed in these related areas of study: Computer Science, Computer Programming, Software Engineering or similar academic program

  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.5)

  • Ability to travel 20-40%
