Work you ll do
The Research Manager - HR and the Human Capital Balance Sheet/ROI will be a key member of Bersin s Research Ideation team, which leads the agenda for Bersin s research-driven insights. He/she will generate research and insights to help redefine the role of HR in empowering workforce productivity; designing worker experiences; and optimizing investments and returns on human capital. This role has a strong market-facing element, including consultative discussion of Bersin s insights with Bersin members and Deloitte clients. It requires broad exposure to HR topics and research, and an understanding of the trends driving change in HR. It also requires internal collaboration with Bersin s sales and member advisory teams, as well as Deloitte Consulting colleagues.
Finally, he/she will work with Bersin s Research Execution and Content Delivery teams to guide their work in the creation of articles, webinars, infographics, podcasts, and videos relevant to the future of HR, productivity and the human capital balance sheet. The ideal candidate for this role thrives on analyzing many sources of input in order to identify connections with both quantitative and qualitative approaches. He/she can pinpoint not only what is most relevant now in these particular areas of the human resources space, but anticipate what HR professionals will need to know tomorrow.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the research roadmap by identifying leading practices in HR, with a specific focus on productivity, worker experience and the implications of people and HR on organizational finances.
Understand the needs of the member base, collaborate with our sales and product teams, and maintain alignment with Deloitte priorities.
Collaborate across practice areas to address the intersection of HR and other areas of workforce development, with a focus on addressing unmet member needs.
Promote a personal and company brand that sets our insights apart from our competitors.
Demonstrate a polished, credible presence that commands respect from executive audiences within client and vendor organizations.
Create and deliver presentations in person and virtually to the general community and to current and prospective clients. Be a capable and confident data-driven storyteller.
Respond to complex member queries in-person, on the phone, and via electronic communication.
Participate in the development of research-based tools for members and to support consulting solutions.
Engage in thought leadership in industry forums and via social media and blogs.
Interface directly with corresponding Deloitte Consulting LLP leadership to align messaging and research roadmaps.
Work with the product, marketing, and sales teams to help position products and solutions to prospects and members.
8 years of business experience in HR/talent management or with a related analyst or research firm or consultancy, including at least 5 years in a mid-level or team leadership role.
Strategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key business drivers that contribute to operational and financial success.
Demonstrated desire and drive to be a recognized thought leader within the larger HR/talent management industry and community. An established network and positive brand are a plus.
Highly effective presentation development and delivery skills to internal and external audiences.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, virtual environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.
Graduate degree in economics, finance or a related social science
Ability to travel up to 5 0%
10 years of business experience in HR/talent management or with a related analyst or research firm or consultancy.
Expertise in econometrics or financial modeling.
