Work you'll do
As a Cloud Big Data Engineer, you will be part of a team building, implementing, and administrating a leading-edge data center cloud to support Innovation products and solutions. The responsibilities include architecting the cloud, network, installing, maintaining, and supporting the tools, products, and infrastructure to meet the demands of a fast-growing cloud-based software business including:
Provide Cloud Native Data Support operations which includes patching, monitoring, communications within the organization.
Provision, monitor, and maintain AWS Redshift, EMR, Glu, Mongo DB, EKS and RDBMS Databases like MYSQL/PostgreSQL.
Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
Enhance existing automation environments and streamline development to production operations or drive new automation initiatives with respect to Big Data.
Participate in cross-functional teams' collaboration and help debug Database issues.
Collaborate and communicate with senior leadership and clients
Deloitte Innovation & Platforms is an organization within Deloitte Consulting with the goal of building a culture of continuous innovation to drive profitable revenue through the identification, incubation, and actualization of breakthrough ideas in assets-based client offerings. The Cloud Hosting Infrastructure Team architects, deploys, and supports the cloud environments through the entire project lifecycle.
5+ years of experience with AWS Database Native tools.
Expert level experience with the Deployment and troubleshooting of Amazon EMR
Expert level experience with the Deployment and troubleshooting of Amazon Redshift and Glue.
Hands-on knowledge with AWS services like EC2, EBS, S3, Cloudwatch, Cloudformation, RDS, Athena, Lambda, Autoscaling and VPC.
Experience in setting up Cluster and configuring Multi node Redshift Cluster.
Experience in supporting Mongo DB, MYSQL/PostgreSQL.
Expertise on cluster maintenance tasks such as Add, Remove, and Rebalance nodes in a cluster using cluster management tools.
Experience in security aspects of AWS Cloud native tools such as File based ACLs, Kerberos, SSL and encryption, integration with AD/LDAP.
Experience in Backup and Recovery procedures with AWS native tools.
Experience in troubleshooting performance issues with AWS native tools L2/L3 and advanced ticket handling capabilities independently.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Nice to Have:
Experience on GCP services like Big Query storage, Cloud Big table, Cloud Storage etc.
Experience with SDLC tools (Atlassian tools, JIRA, etc.)

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $89,000-$163,000.
