Position summary

As an Associate Creative Director, you ve grown up in the ranks often having played numerous roles across the disciplines of design and demonstrate a conceptual approach to design problems with implied understanding of what makes good design. You are able to cultivate a vision for digital experiences and challenge those around you to rethink and reframe the purpose and potential for these experiences. Beyond what s on the screen, you see design for the value it brings to the people who will use it. As a design lead, you ae committed to involving the user and client in your design process to help define experiences that are loved.

Work you ll do:

Build and foster an environment where the best ideas prevail

Act as design lead for projects, creating hands on designs to help lead other designers and support solution across design and UX team

Provide quality control including proofing, reviewing, measuring and evaluating creative team members and their work

Provide estimates for time and resources for new projects, ensuring creative scope, schedule and budget are accurate and maintained throughout the project life cycle

Write creative briefs and drive design vision / strategies for projects

Collaborate with other groups like developers, engagement managers and UX designers to deliver high-quality creative for both internal and client-facing projects

Collaborate closely with Deloitte management teams on internal and external projects

Help foster strong relationships internally across the organization

Drive improvements in Deloitte Digital s creative process and capabilities

Contribute to staffing decisions for the design team, hiring and methodology development

Study the digital design marketplace, and assess Deloitte Digital s work against competitors

Develop relationships with design organizations such as the AIGA

Commercial Excellence & Experience

Our Commercial Excellence & Experience team focuses on designing and implementing sales and service experiences, capabilities, and architectures to bring customer strategies to life. Our ambition is to be the best in the world at driving customer transformation through the development of clever commercial strategies, distinctive experiences, and the application of digital technologies. We help make the creative digital consultancy real and in doing so, make new markets.

Professionals will serve our clients through the following types of work:

  • Sales Excellence & Service Excellence | delivers sales and service strategies and plans, operating model definition, incentive design and implementation, and operations support for digitally-enabled sales, channel, and customer service capabilities

  • Digital Experience | creates engaging omni-channel digital experiences across web, mobile, AR/VR, voice, gesture, IoT, and video

  • Flexible Consumption | the commercial strategy, operating model definition, and capability delivery of subscription/flexible consumption business models

  • Digital Foundry | a flexible, end-to-end delivery model emphasizing innovation and disruption

  • DigitalMix | an integrated set of platforms to enable business re-platforming


You bring:

At least 5 years experience in a creative leadership role managing other designers

At least 10 years experience within a design related industry

A well-rounded knowledge of design principles and techniques

Able to organize and self-direct execution of tasks/duties

Experience leading cross discipline design teams

Experience leading design presentations and reviews

Interest in mentoring and growing design talent on our team

Ability to work in a variety of digital focused design applications like Sketch, Invision, illustrator

Bonus points for:

Experience creating design systems for enterprise level experiences

Curiosity for emerging technology / design trends, tools and methods

Knowledge of web optimization principles and other production methods

Ability to use advanced motion tools like Adobe After Effects to communicate interaction design and motion

Experience working in a consulting environment

Experience working with globally distributed teams
