Work You ll Do
Advisory Manager in Regulatory & Operations to identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement; assess and implement compliance, regulatory and risk management programs, training, and monitoring/reporting; assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects; actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions; generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo; facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services; play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing; play substantive role in the training and development of staff; evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others; play substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting; build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations; demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte & Touche products and service lines; identify opportunities to cross-sell other services; understand clients' business environment and complex risk management approaches; participate in proposal development efforts; participate in "add-on" sales to client; and play substantive/lead role in developing a strong relationship with internal resources; address the business risks that threaten strategic objectives around growth and profitability; develop control frameworks encompassing regulatory requirements, including privacy and Sarbanes Oxley, and application security designs; evaluate and implement internal controls that mitigate risks; and integrate and manage risk and compliance-related activities.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Five years of banking and securities risk advisory experience.
Experience must include five years of:
Performing professional services consulting in the banking industry;
Developing predictive, descriptive data models, and database management systems using historical data, statistical and quantitative analysis, rules-based methods, explanatory/ predictive modeling and tools, including IBM SPSS, SAS, R programming, and SQL;
Performing data enrichment, data harvesting, data mining, and data normalizing as it relates to Software Asset Management software usage data to correspond to something legible;
Gathering and understanding database requirements through direct client contact, analyzing department applications, programming, and operations, and designing proposed systems;
Recommending solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications;
Conducting data analysis and visualization using Microsoft, Tableau, and SQL Server report services;
Designing processes for full software lifecycle from end-user requesting to software decommissioning;
Utilizing Oracle ERP, Oracle DB, Linux OS, and Windows OS to complete projects;
Developing CCAR mortgage models; and
Performing CFO compliance, including validating Matters Requiring Attention (MRA) related to the Bank Security Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master's degree and three years of experience as noted above.
Experience must include one year of:
Mentoring and coaching junior team members and
Liaising directly with clients and senior-level stakeholders.
Position requires approximately 80% travel.
