The team - Health Care

Focuses on assisting those organizations that are responsible for the delivery, funding and payment management of health care and medical related services. Clients include hospitals, academic medical centers, health systems, home health agencies, long term care, outpatient facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, practitioners and physician groups as well as health plans, other health insurance companies, and pharmacy benefit managers. Also drives integration with government agencies. Strategy & Analytics Strategy Our Strategy practice brings together several key capabilities that will allow us to architect integrated programs that transform our clients' businesses, including Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Technology Strategy & Insights, Enterprise Model Design, Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Business Transformation.

Strategy professionals will serve as trusted advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about where to play and how to win, in order to drive growth and enterprise value.

Strategy will help our clients:

  • Identify strategies for growth and value creation

  • Develop the appropriate business models, operating models, and capabilities to support their strategic vision

  • Maximize the ROI on technology investments and leverage technology and Cloud trends to architect future business strategies

    Work you'll do

Health Care engagement: Serve as the day-to-day team leader for staff and as the primary point of contact for the senior client and practice leadership. Lead a team in the development of the strategic approach to the design and implementation of the virtual health offering and in organizational change management. Design activities may include creating business cases to prioritize different virtual health use cases, facilitating the completion of a capability assessment, identifying client-specific technological needs, collaborating with key stakeholders on deployment plans, and determining how to effectively train and market the new offering. The implementation phase may include developing and executing clear plans for changes in the people, process, and technology to enable the offering.



  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university

  • Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Performed above expectations in previous professional roles

  • Competent in Microsoft suite of Business Software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

    • Ability to travel up to 50% (While up to 50% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)


  • Project management, including developing and managing a team, project plan, and budget

  • Experience in direct client service or in a client service capacity

  • Understanding of the health care landscape and of trends impacting health care providers, health plans, and customers

  • Experience working in health care IT, virtual health, and/or developing and implementing a virtual health program

  • Experience in management / oversight of new virtual health technology, hardware, and software

  • Clinical education and experience (e.g., physician, nurse), Excellent undergraduate academic record (GPA 3.5+)

  • Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program

  • 5+ years of management consulting experience in a health care related field

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills

  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in a client business setting

  • Lead engagement planning and budgeting

  • Oversee development and monitoring of work plans for all components of an engagement

  • Manage activities across all work streams

  • Provide quality control oversight for all work threads managed

  • Coordinate with both clinical and non-clinical SMEs to provide peer review of team deliverables

  • Provide guidance to junior practitioners as they manage large, confidential and complex data sets

  • Maintain executive relationships and facilitate client acceptance of proposed solutions

  • Develop process flows identifying challenges and opportunities in business processes

  • Oversee junior practitioners as they conduct detailed analyses, draw conclusions, and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations

  • Define deliverable structure and content to reflect the engagement contract

  • Present findings and recommendations to client leadership
