Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in San Jose, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:
Performing various phases of SDLC implementations for custom applications including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, and resolutions of escalations and urgent issues;
Providing accurate analysis and effective diagnoses of business issues; and identifying business requirements and support procedures for the implementation of public Cloud solutions in various areas including functional design, prototypes, process design, scenario design, flow mapping, testing, and training;
Developing full software stacks in public and private Cloud; and planning, installing, and deploying highlyavailable solutions, including Blue-Green deployments and Canary deployments, in public Cloud;
Creating innovative and transformative technology solutions for businesses, including Harness.io and CircleCI (Continuous Integration) solutions, that address next-generational business needs, utilizing technical platforms and expertise tools including Jenkins, Ansible, Chef Infra, Puppet, SaltStack, and Terraform;
Performing deep-dive analysis on the estimations of current data sizes, exponential growth of data in the near future, service-level agreements, the usability of data in advanced and predictive analytics, and archiving and compressing techniques for historical data; and providing recommendations on the use of technologies, including Cassandra and Tableau, in the big data space in order to achieve required results;
Driving software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond, as discrete services or comprehensive solutions for companies in the Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, State and Local Government, Telecom, and Retail industries;
Setting engagement objectives and scopes, developing work plans for components of all engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams, and identifying changes in scope;
Evaluating businesses’ technology needs, developing customized applications, drafting technical and functional design documentation, and identifying and mitigating risks in Agile and Waterfall processes and necessary technology for engagements; and
Evaluating business cases to enable decision-makers to understand the business resources that will need to be utilized for projects; performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; and estimating the resources necessary for development work.
80% travel required nationally.
