Alliances Portfolio Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Alliances Portfolio Marketing Manager serves as a trusted marketing advisor to their business leaders and key stakeholders with a focus on business outcomes . Overseeing a team of marketing professionals, you'll provide strategy and planning for integrated marketing plans and execute campaigns and events that support Deloitte's portfolio of alliances aligned to the business. This role has indirect responsibility for extended team members including marketing practitioners who collaborate with the alliance partners, internal business stakeholders, and external vendors.

As the Alliances Portfolio Marketing Manager , you'll lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans and programs across a portfolio of alliances aligned to strategic business priorities. This includes the successful creation and execution of alliance marketing campaigns, resource management, investment decisions, event sponsorships, creative direction and alliance marketing relationship management. The role will be responsible for developing for best-in-class marketing operations as well as oversight for marketing campaign execution across industries and accounts. This role pioneers marketing strategies in order to keep pace with evolving organizational needs and external market opportunities, to support Deloitte's firm-wide growth ambitions for Ecosystems & Alliances and the alliances' contribution to the firm's growth. As alliances in a portfolio expand into strategic imperatives around broader ecosystem plays or into new markets.

Work you'll do

Develop and maintain a trusted advisor and partner relationships across the Deloitte Supply Networks portfolio of alliances

• Provide strategic marketing counsel to Deloitte portfolio and alliance leadership, business leaders as well as alliance marketing counterparts and leadership

• Develop and s et priorities, uncover market opportunities and craft marketing investment strategies for campaigns, quarterly plans, and annual business reviews

• Identify bold plays aligned with Ecosystems and Alliances (E&A) business for a full view of the relationship opportunities, and to develop and execute campaigns across multiple regions

• Collaborate with member firm marketing leaders (Consulting, Tax, Advisory), based on alliance maturity and synergies

• Advise and develop comprehensive guidance for consistent, successful marketing strategies to offering portfolio leaders, practice leadership and professionals

• Work together with Deloitte and The Smart Factory @ Wichita State University (WSU) to bring alliance solutions, PR, and campaigns to market

Plan and execute comprehensive marketing programs that align with practice business objectives and alliance partner goals to promote and sell joint-alliance offerings, increasing attachment of associated Deloitte services

• Synthesize cross-alliance and alliance-specific priorities to plan and execute issue-based marketing campaigns with messaging that align with E&A business objectives and differentiate Deloitte in the market to accomplish sales and growth targets

• Advocate alliance market position as a leader in new and existing markets by establishing key themes and brand for practice to generate demand, ensure consistency and enhance visibility/favorability with internal/external audiences

• Identify and launch joint-alliance marketing programs to align with the go-to-market strategy, supporting alliance/s and reinforcing Deloitte's top tier positioning within the partners' communities / ecosystems

• Strengthen t he Deloitte brand with clients, prospects, and alliance with innovative, best practices that can be applied across the firm

• Drive awareness, preference and engagement with the offering portfolios/alliances and identify market opportunity for key industries and personas

Build and manage a team of marketing professionals who support a diverse portfolio of alliance programs and initiatives

• Manage team of marketing professionals responsible for development of marketing plans and execution of marketing campaigns; coach team members to success in daily efforts to drive programs and further develop skills outside of comfort zone

• Identify strengths and developmental areas of team members, providing guidance and counsel on goals; Mentor team related to skills development, training or firm contribution opportunities

• Provide performance management and ongoing guidance for team with regards to roles & responsibilities; Approve and provide counsel for development of strategic briefs; Vet requests for marketing support of new business needs

Lead with influence to align strategic priorities with GTM programs to drive and progress pipeline

• Build and maintain strong working relationships and business alignment with key members of alliance marketing team and counterparts while building broader relationships within Deloitte to influence deeper engagement.

• Collaborate with industry and services marketing to help create comprehensive external positioning of service offerings, promoting 'One Deloitte' and leveraging broad view of Deloitte's capabilities and technology trends

• Manage ongoing relationships with Deloitte's internal marketing community, to proactively identify and promote alliance assets and solutions

• Support the enablement of sales pursuits through development of client testimonials/case studies working directly with lead engagement partners and clients, with the help of E&A Marketing Services

• Build energy and momentum across functions, member firms and competencies to promote cross-business solutions, capabilities, awards and recognition at strategic events

• Engage in select firm-wide initiatives and provide incremental, integrated touchpoints for Signature Issues, Sectors, Ecosystem and Diversity and Inclusion programs

Operate with ROI accountability for alliance marketing program investments and capabilities

• Evaluate sponsorships and strategic investments in signature conferences, annual summits, sales kickoffs, and bespoke events to support a differentiated value proposition, joint sales alignment, and high-touch client engagements

• Demonstrate leadership in creating and managing operational activities, while promoting adoption of standards and tools to drive efficiencies; liaise with the Green Dot Agency/ E&A Marketing Services for cohesive support of business

• Develop KPIs to improve campaign performance, centered on target industry sectors/key accounts, to drive measurable increase in pipeline and inform future campaign tactics, with the help of the Green Dot Agency

• Implement account-based marketing programs promoting GTM offerings with collaborative influence to nurture key accounts within the sales pipeline and facilitate integration across sales, marketing, alliance account teams

• Oversee development of alliance content, eminence, and digital strategy for campaigns and events relevant to target audience/personas in digitally-enabled marketing model

Oversee a growing ecosystem/portfolio of alliance offerings and capabilities, defining service models to maximize external visibility and operational efficiency

• Lead development of an integrated alliance ecosystem marketing strategy aligned to the growth objectives for the business

• Manage overall portfolio of alliance campaigns/activities, adapting to E&A priorities and allocation of appropriate marketing resources

• Manage client expectations for speaking opportunities with alliance (i.e. keynotes, video shoots, webinars, etc.)

• Liaise with Web, Social Media, Internal Communications, Analyst and PR team around initiation and development of priority stories, collaborating to drive internal awareness and external media coverage of eminence when applicable

• Adapt the alliance marketing strategy and collaborate with Marketing Services to deliver creative, internal/external communications, demand generation activities and portfolio of events

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field

• 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing in the professional services industry

• 7+ years of management experience

• 5+ years experience designing and delivering marketing campaigns

• Understanding of Supply Networks, Smart Manufacturing, Analytics, Cloud, and associated ecosystems (e.g Siemens, Coupa, o9, OMP, Anaplan, SAP ARIBA, Manhattan, Aera, PTC)

• Deep experience managing creative and vendor resources to launch digital campaigns

  • High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Up to 30% travel required

    Preferred

    • 7+ years alliance marketing preferred

    • 5+ years digital marketing experience

    • Advanced degree a plus

    • Experience integrating martech technologies and tools to develop advanced digital marketing campaigns

    • Experience in managing and developing cross-functional teams in support of alliance programs

    • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Ability to develop and grow connections in matrixed environment that enhance the E&A brand and support sales in a measurable way

  • Ability to execute complex programs across a highly-matrixed environment, with strategic focus on business growth and integration

  • Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability

  • Proven ability to collaborate, communicate, and seamlessly lead local and remote teams
