Deloitte Encore Audit Senior in San Jose, California

The Deloitte Encore Program was designed for professionalswho have left the workforce for two or more years to return to work. This paid,fourteen-week program offers an opportunity to enhance your skills while providingyou a role in a client service environment. A network of Deloitte professionalswill be assigned to provide you with relevant training and mentorship, and willhelp support your professional growth while you gain hands-on experience. Youmay also have the opportunity to join the team upon successful completion ofthe program.

The Program will run from end Jan to May 2020. Whether itleads to a full-time career, or serves to sharpen skills that will help you totake the next step into the job market, the Program is a great opportunity toreignite your professional career.

Work you ll do

Are you a meticulous, inquisitive individual who enjoyscoming up with innovative solutions? We provide audit services using anapproach designed to provide the flexibility to serve the unique circumstancesand complexities of our clients. You'll design and execute audit proceduresbased on the client s business, the risks it faces, and its internal controlprocesses. You ll gain exposure to a broad range of industries and businessmodels, helping your career growth and professional development.

You will interact with clients directly to discuss fieldaudit issues. Not only will you work independently, you ll also collaboratewith a diverse group of dynamic audit professionals. You ll use ourcutting-edge audit tools and technology. Your other responsibilities willinclude:

  • supervising field audit arrangements and assigned staff

  • working on the design of the approach to audits

  • performing audit procedures related to clients financial documents

  • bringing to bear artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, data visualizations

  • process flow automation to perform data interrogation and analysis of client data

Qualifications

Required

A minimum of *2 years break from employment stronglypreferred.

  • applicants with lesser than a 2-year break from employment will be considered on a case to case basis

  • 3 years of public accounting or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting or related field

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements

  • Up to 100% travel

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in accounting or related field

  • Experience with a regional or Big 4 accounting firm
