Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks an Advisory Manager (Data Analytics) in San Jose, CA.

Work You ll Do

Guide clients with development and execution of internal audit plans, including addressing the requirements of SOX. Plan and manage internal audit reviews/projects of business including financial, operational, and compliance; SOX readiness reviews and testing. Plan audit approach and scope, prepare audit program, determine auditing procedures to be used, and identify specialists required. Review working papers prepared by team. Provide recommendations for improved and enhanced controls and business efficiency to clients. Prepare project reports and deliverables and present project results to clients senior management. Apply internal audit standards in planning and executing internal audit reviews/projects. Coordinate other engagement activities as necessary, including status reporting to client and issue tracking. Build and nurture positive working relationship with client. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Five years of data analysis and financial reporting experience.

  • Experience must include three years of:

  • Managing projects, including requirements gathering, preparing complex written materials, determining project workflow, budgeting, billing and collection, delivery, and managing client expectation;

  • Utilizing data analytics techniques to identify operational gaps that impact efficiency and effectiveness;

  • Leveraging data analytics tools to perform financial forecasting, budget active analysis, monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and develop reports;

  • Interacting with clients and end users to understand business and functional requirements, data sources and complex models;

  • Utilizing data analytics tools, including SQL, Tableau, SAS, and Python, to perform data extraction analysis; and

  • Managing project teams.

  • Position requires approximately 90% travel.
