Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager (Tax Technology) in San Francisco, CA.

Work You ll Do

As Tax Manager in the Tax Technology office, will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of standard process use and tools related to the delivery of federal and state compliance services for clients across all service lines within Deloitte Tax LLP. Responsibilities include: providing day-to-day management and delivery of the process standardization initiatives; assisting project teams in the development and technical implementation of standardized processes as well as providing technical expertise; working with partners and directors to design and deploy the initiatives to our tax practice; executing program administration processes to tax technology projects, including project scope outline, timeline and resource needs, plan of execution, implementation and end-user training; and overseeing project implementation and process improvements for large compliance engagements, and overseeing systems resources to ensure efficient execution of projects.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Three years of experience implementing tax standardization processes.

  • Experience must include three years of:

  • Reviewing federal tax forms for Subchapter C Corporations and Subchapter K partnerships, and preparing and reviewing international compliance forms, including 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 5471, 5472, 8858 and 8865;

  • Implementing and automating tax software, including GoSystem, Corptax and OneSource, for electronic filing of federal and state returns;

  • Analyzing project management data, including chargeability reports, budget analysis, pricing tools, project profitability reports, and utilization reports; and

  • Supervising and reviewing the work of engagement teams both on site and overseas.

  • In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.

  • Experience must include one year of:

  • Developing, planning, and implementing technology initiatives for tax functions, and utilizing technology and advanced data analytic tools to drive tax optimization;

  • Identifying tax technology and process needs, including initiatives for process improvements, automation and application of tax processes, and selection of technology best suited for tax teams;

  • Working with data software tools, including Informatica; and

  • Coordinating with software development teams to build business requirements for internal and external software enhancements and tools.

  • Position requires approximately 80% travel.
