As a Project Management/Functional Manager, you help clients set-up, manage, and operate their most complex projects, define functional requirements for technology solutions, and design and derive transformative approaches for technology systems.

Work you ll do

As a Senior Manager you will bring considerable technical expertise to deliver effective solutions to clients.

  • Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

The Team

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Solution Integration Consultants are required to have:

  • At least 10 years of experience managing large technology engagements

  • A minimum of 6 full life cycle implementations

  • 4 years of experience participating in large-scale, full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture implementations. This effort can be within a management consulting or industry environment.

  • Should possess deep expertise in being able to Identify, analyze and remediate structural issues with Client s organizational business processes and their functional interdependencies

  • Highly proficient in J2EE, Java or any other technology stack and expertise in Web Application development, Servlets, Web Services, Services Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST

  • Conversant in one or more integration areas (Message-oriented middleware, Human Workflow, Business Process Management, Business Activity Monitoring, Technology and Enterprise Application Adapters)

  • Expertise in UML modeling, metadata standards, knowledge representation, Semantic Web standards, Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) in one or more large scale projects

  • Possess expert-level knowledge of service compositions and orchestrations using ESB, Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), and workflow components

  • Should have a solid understanding of deployment and infrastructure architecture principles

  • Must have at least 3 years experience in custom software development projects

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative leadership skills, strong communications and team-building skills to foster collaboration and agreement in a multi-stakeholder, multi-vendor environment

In addition, successful Consultants will have the following preferred background:

  • A strong Java, EJB, BPEL, UNIX background

  • Experience with Application Integration tools from IBM, Oracle, Webmethods, Apache Camel, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi

  • Experience in addressing the challenges in implementing cloud based SOA solution using cloud environment such as on IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure

  • Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration

  • Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development or testing of a technology integration project including detailed understating of the Agile methodology and associate tools, deployment processes

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in leading Cloud based (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) SOA solution implementation

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

  • Should be able to work with a team of architects from various disciplines and client organizations to develop a mission-critical, maintainable and achievable enterprise architecture

  • Should be able to provide a balanced view of all key architectural quality metrics such as performance, scalability, reliability, availability, agility and interoperability
