Storage Engineer Senior Analyst

Work you ll do

Perform engineering and supporting of enterprise level Storage, SAN Fabric and Backup solutions; also includes supporting UNIX/Linux/Windows. Responsibilities include providing technical support and design for enterprise backup solutions and enterprise SAN and storage solutions. Also includes resolving backup and SAN related problems by gathering diagnostic information for submission to vendor support team, applying and testing fixes, and performing corrective maintenance; supporting software upgrades, and performing daily SAN and backup related tasks such as storage provisioning and adding new systems to storage and backup solutions. Ability to work with server system administrators and create LUNs and other storage administration to support applications.

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools


  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or other technology-related field

  • Experience implementing large-scale custom development integration projects

  • Experience working with business users to gather requirements

  • Prior experience writing functional and technical specifications, and communicating technical requirements

  • Experience in developing design documents

  • Software development experience using object-oriented languages

  • 4 to 10 years experience maintaining storage systems for an Oracle, Microsoft, ESX, and COTS environment.

  • Experience supporting enterprise level Storage, SAN Fabric and Backup solutionswithin a Linux/Windows environment.

  • Experience administering HP/NetApp or Hitachi Storage Solutions.

  • Experience with NETAPP, HITACHI, HPEVA, SPECTRA LOGIC, BROCADE, Virtual Connect, Quality Center, and other SAN related tools.

  • Experience working with a datacenter and experience supporting large data environments.

  • Experience working within SAN replicating environments and knowledge of storage encryption best practices.

  • NetApp, Brocade, HP, and SNIA certifications, and Security related certifications desirable
