Work you'll do:

Social Impact Activation (SIA) is part of the Social Impact Group (SIG) in the Purpose and DEI Office (PDEIO). Its mission is to guide social investment in our communities, inspire action by our professionals, and apply our skills and experience to accelerate positive, societal impact. We drive impact as a key part of our global commitment to creating a more equitable society. A successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of and experience with social impact to enhance engagement and position Deloitte as a market leader in their respective markets and nationally.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as strategic advisor who drives, delivers, and supports social impact efforts that enhances Deloitte's brand, and manages internal and external relationships in the local market

  • Team with marketplace Managing Partners to implement and influence strategic social impact activities in the Bay Area

  • Collaborate across the SIG and PDEIO (e.g., Green Team, Inclusion Council) to drive greater integration of strategic efforts

Key responsibilities:

  • Portfolio, Integration, & Relationship Management

  • Implement the national PDEIO strategy at the local level and drives the implementation of that strategy

  • Manage and direct SIA marketplace budget, and advise on managing partner budgets related to social impact activation priorities and efforts

  • Stand up and advise the Bay Area's Purpose and DEI Marketplace Council (PDMC) to enhance and support local volunteerism, and align and streamline local social impact and DEI groups and engagement, develop impact insights/reports/stories based on volunteering, sponsorships, donations, and other efforts

  • Identify, build, and manages relationships with nonprofits in local markets in collaboration with the PDMC

  • Serve as point of contact for social impact activation queries from Deloitte professionals and nonprofit organizations

  • Manage local Impact Day and Workplace Giving campaign, and report outcomes

  • Manage Deloitte Foundation local market grant submissions

  • Work alongside assigned Region Lead to ensure consistency and alignment to PDEIO strategy and collaboration with SIG teams as needed

  • Operations

  • Contact and coordinate with Deloitte leaders and professionals to secure their attendance and support for gala events

  • Manage the local adoption, use, and instruction of the social impact technology platform

  • Collaborate with the USI Shared Services team to process invoices for donations and sponsorships, and help manage the social impact inbox

The successful candidate will:

  • Be based in the Bay Area

  • Have proven project management and organizational skills

  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, in a high-volume environment, within a complex organizational structure

  • Have excellent written, verbal, and analytical communications skills

  • Serve with a client- and stakeholder-first mentality and possess excellent relationship-building skills

  • Have experience working with practice leaders

  • Demonstrate knowledge of social sector issues in the Bay Area

  • Be self-motivated, creative, and results oriented

  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and virtual environment

The team

Qualifications

Required

  • Prior experience or working knowledge of social impact efforts and/ or volunteer programs

  • Prior experience creating, leading and organizing large-scale and bespoke events, and managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Bachelors Degree

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington State, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $$103,900 to $173,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
