Consulting External Communications Leader (Senior Manager)

This position will play a key role in driving a robust Consulting communications program to better inform, inspire and engage a diverse set of audiences, including reporters, influencers, clients and other priority segments. Work You'll Do
In this role, you will set direction and oversee execution of all communications and PR priorities for the Consulting business while employing data and metrics to demonstrate impact. You will also own external communications strategy for a set of integrated priorities within our Consulting business, working closely with business leaders, marketing leaders, content strategists and team members. Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with and serving as a trusted partner to business and marketing leadership by shaping an insights-driven strategy for external communications that will support desired business results.
Developing strategic communications programs for an integrated business, encompassing traditional and social, media relations, digital communications, marketing programs and other relevant channels for external audiences, with an eye toward how internal and external programs intersect; overseeing teams who execute
Driving execution and innovation across all areas and channels of communication and storytelling from messaging to new platforms, tools and media.
Overseeing the development and adoption of insights-driven standards for communications that champion measurement, collaboration and continuous growth; own development of our communications tech stack in coordination with other communications stakeholders across the firm
Using metrics and analytics to inform approaches, gain insight into performance of external comms efforts and evolve our approaches in an agile fashion.
Acting as a strong leader and collaborator who knows how to get the best out of teams and individuals across a large, matrixed organization.
Delivering strategic, engaging, and persuasive presentations to effectively articulate ideas to leadership, colleagues, and others.

15-20 years of experience, with B2B communications and a combination of both agency and in-house experience preferred
Proven track record of being a strategic partner to business leadership, including excellent written / verbal communication, collaboration and relationship development skills
Thought leader in future-forward communications, including ability to surface and execute innovative, complex communications programs within matrixed organizations to make them consumable for teams and target audiences
Experience in measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies and adapting approaches in an agile fashion; experience in agile marketing and communications a plus
Experienced team builder and leader, with track record of building, inspiring and continuously developing high-performing teams
Familiarity with integrating various comms technologies and tools to elevate communications efforts
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Comfortable working with ambiguity and continuously evolving priorities in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, environment
Demonstrated values for diversity, team dynamic / culture, and collaboration in a remote environment
Travel up to 10% (while travel of up to 10% is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
