Work You ll Do

Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions. Play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing. Play substantive role in the training and development of staff in addition to evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of staff. Understand clients' business environment and complex risk management approaches to help identify and evaluate complex business process and financial risks and generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Participate in proposal development efforts.



  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent, including a 3-year foreign degree).

  • Four years of experience testing for internal controls over financial reporting, SOX testing, business process assessment, risk assessment, and control gap analysis experience within the Life Sciences and Healthcare (LSHC) industry.

  • Experience must include four years of:

  • Analyzing large datasets to identify potential risk areas and recommend controls to mitigate risks;

  • Identifying control deficiencies and performing control gap analysis of financial risks related to those deficiencies;

  • Participating in planning and testing SOC 1 and SOX business controls;

  • Participating in the planning and testing of internal controls over financial reporting;

  • Performing risk assessments and developing risk control matrices related to SOX 404 readiness and testing;

  • Leading client discussions to analyze and evaluate issues in connection with business approaches and presenting recommendations based on findings;

  • Monitoring internal audit budgets to appropriately track engagement economics;

  • Liaising directly with clients and senior-level stakeholders to discuss the engagement and findings; and

  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.

  • Experience must include one year of:

  • Performing internal audits for testing internal controls of claims processes for healthcare clients.

  • Position requires approximately 80% travel.
