The Deloitte GPS Pricing & Estimating group is a highly skilled group that leads and supports a high volume of complex price proposals. The Manager, Competitive Pricing will conduct quantitative competitive pricing exercises in support of proposal efforts for large ($20M+) Federal Government opportunities and present the findings and analysis to account team and GPS leadership. This individual will also be responsible for the collection and analysis of publicly available information to generate meaningful analyses and strategic pricing solutions that improve the price competitiveness and win rate of proposals

Work you'll do
This position will develop Competitive Pricing Analyses in direct support of strategic capture efforts. The position will report to the Competitive Pricing Team Leader.
The Competitive Pricing Manager will work with minimal supervision in the execution of the following key responsibilities:
Analysis of RFP / RFQ documents - distilling and communicating competitive advantages and disadvantages based on solicitation requirements and provisions. Position requires critical review of solicitation evaluation models and resourcing requirements specific to the opportunity with interpretive assessment relative to Deloitte and the competition. Provide strategic and competitive pricing advice to account teams based on the above analysis
Develop an appropriate approach to the competitor price analysis of an opportunity, and execute that approach to develop a bid-specific price analysis
Present and communicate the key factors and results of the competitive analysis to the capture team and Leadership, as appropriate
Advance research from basic data to in-depth price analysis of industry competitors, influencers, market trends, and drivers via the use of publicly available pricing data (e.g., published rates, RFPs/RFQs, and FOIA data)
Analyze Government contracting trends and the impact of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) updates as related to proposal pricing
Administration of formal protocols, policies, and tools for the collection, assessment, classification, storage, and dissemination of competitive information
Ad-hoc project initiatives related to Competitive Analysis and/or Pricing Strategy and Tactics
A high degree of collaboration, communication, deductive reasoning and creativity is expected and encouraged for success in this role.

The GPS Enabling Areas team provides specialized support such as proposal pricing to Deloitte's internal business units by developing new products and services to sustain competitive advantage, while consistently improving our existing collection of systems, processes, and functions.
Qualifications
Required :
Minimum 8 years in professional service inclusive of a combination of the following disciplines: Federal Government services pricing, program control, market research, and/or Consulting project management. Experience in providing business strategies, competitive intelligence, market research, or project/program management within the Federal Consulting market
At least 4 years analytical experience (interpretation of data and reporting results)
Minimum of 6 years' experience in the use of Microsoft Office Applications with a strong focus on Excel modeling for analysis and data presentation, and PowerPoint for developing effective presentations
Undergraduate degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Very strong attention to detail, strong communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred :
The candidate should understand the Federal Government procurement process, Government contract types, and possess a basic understanding of cost accounting methodologies. Strong preference for a candidate with a foundation in client project management and structuring delivery teams. Federal Government labor pricing experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, be creative and inquisitive, and possess the ability to work both independently and within a team.
