The Experienced Software Solutions Specialist possesses technical expertise in specific platforms, technologies, domains or tools that are strategic to the operation of the firm. This individual is expected to be a team contributor responsible for completing multiple project tasks. The Experienced Software Solutions Specialist is a professional with a full understanding of an area of specialization.


  • Strong process-oriented individual who can help teams engage with our Data Anonymization & Test Data Management service offerings

  • Understands reidentification risk calculations, differential privacy, and has the ability to autonomously process and analyze a data set and set the direction for developers to write anonymization scripts

  • Solid technical fundamentals with particular focus on web protocols, databases, and data security

  • Ability to learn and research new technologies rapidly, assess privacy exposures, and suggest mitigations

  • Ability to analyze systems' architectures for privacy impact

  • Knowledge in data masking, de-identification, anonymization, tokenization, coalescing, segregation

Experience in some or all of the following areas:

  • Privacy by Design

  • Applied Cryptography

  • Data Anonymization

  • Data Science / Statistics

  • De-Identification risk (including k-anonymity, k-concealment, l-diversity)

  • Differential Privacy

  • Privacy Preserving Distributed Machine Learning

  • GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA or similar data protection regulations

  • Advanced/Proficient programming skills in preferably Python (or R) for data analytics

  • Experienced with relevant data science related libraries (pandas, sklearn, numpy)

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline. While an advanced degree is preferred, the value is placed on the extent of the relevant experience and accomplishments

  • 2+ years Industry experience or equivalent

  • Ability to manage multiple customers, complex projects, and multiple initiatives at the same time.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Desired certifications include:

  • CIPM - Certified Information Privacy Manager

  • CIPP/E - Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe

  • CIPP/US - Certified Information Privacy Professional United

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $65,230 to $108,715.
