The Research & Insights (R&I) Strategy and Operations team is responsible for developing and implementing thought leadership strategy within R&I and influencing thought leadership strategy across the US Firm. Deloitte strives to be the digital source for the most differentiated, globally relevant, research-based thought leadership. Our thought leadership is intended to initiate meaningful engagement with clients and prospects, while adding to our reputation as a leader in the marketplace globally. In this role, we will look for an individual who embodies this mission and will seek to apply it across strategic priorities and as a leader of specific projects. This role engages directly with Deloitte's industry and cross-industry research centers, Deloitte Insights Publishing team, Data Science, and Economics teams as well as leaders across Deloitte US and global teams.
Objectives of the Role
Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the R&I strategy and operations leader and the R&I leadership team
Collaborate with R&I leadership in decision-making, program management, and strategic priority implementation
Lead process improvement and coordinate organizational procedures across teams for optimized efficiency and productivity
Lead multiple strategic initiatives as identified throughout the year. The team typically leads number of complex initiatives with high leadership visibility.
Proactively identify and scope projects for driving greater impact across R&I, CMG, and the Deloitte US firm
Manage projects aligned to the R&I Strategy, potentially including executive presentations, research, publishing, talent, or global connectivity
Lead improvements in R&I impact and performance reporting
Support and lead efforts for R&I change management in coordination with R&I and communications professionals
Oversee daily operations including aspects of annual budgeting, vendor management, pipeline refresh and updates
Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations
Liaising /collaborating with India-based junior team members in support of research centers, analytics, and strategic priorities
Acting as a Research & Insights program ambassador. Keep people informed, manage interactions, and develop trusted relationships
Support R&I and Deloitte in considering and prioritizing opportunities for university partnerships; support stakeholder engagement and program management of MIT Media Lab relationship
Provide ongoing support across center and team leadership (e.g., Managing Directors, Chief of Staff) and leadership on strategic projects and other leadership requests.
This role is evolving, and opportunities to expand responsibilities and take on more challenging tasks will be readily available. A high degree of flexibility and ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities are required.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
A strong candidate is comfortable with or strengthened by:
Bachelor's degree required
Seeing the big picture of the global Firms and how thought leadership supports business generation
Working with internal (PMDs) and external stakeholders (Academics and Program Managers) from various backgrounds
Experience with the following is preferred: thought leadership, publishing, consulting, marketing, analytics and/or content strategy
Identifying and making connections across the businesses
Obtaining results through influence not authority
Structuring ambiguous, high-level goals into executable plans; managing through ambiguity in project definition and scope
Strong attention to detail
Performing work at different skill levels to get the job done (mix of high level strategic and relationship building and execution/operations)
Executive-level verbal and written communication skills
Working virtually with team members and internal clients
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $101,575 to $214,740.
