DevOps Engineer

Work you ll do

DevOps Engineer(s) to perform and provide support in the following areas: continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, scripting of server configuration, and repeatable process automation. The DevOps Engineer(s) shall also provide operating system administration support in maintaining service continuity and availability of the system. The DevOps Engineer(s) shall also write scripts and automate common tasks, as well as configure firewall rules and policies. Each DevOps Engineer shall create and maintain documentation of system and network architecture, operating systems and devices. The DevOps Engineer(s) shall make recommendations for the hardware/software replacements and upgrades of the software stack. The DevOps Engineer(s) shall assist in deploying and configuring new hardware / virtual machines / network software / software packages and providing user support.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

DevOps; Amazon Web Services (AWS); Agile Software Development Methodology

Desired Skills:

The DevOps Engineer shall have at least two (2) years of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) experience responsible for DevOps on one (1) or more Digital Services project. A. These projects must have been implemented software as a digital service or using agile methods B. These projects must have deployed on Cloud infrastructure C. On these projects the DevOps Engineer must have been responsible for: Analyzing and baselining systems configurations Monitoring and tuning of systems performance Modelling and baselining database configurations Administering hardware/software licenses, and agreements Network administration Maintaining system logs Continuous integration and deployment of incremental changes to systems D. On these projects the DevOps Engineer must experience with: Developing and implementing server configuration scripting Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) Continuous deployment tools (e.g., Docker) Continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) Continuous monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog) Web services (e.g., SOAP)
