We are seeking individuals at the Senior Consultant level to join our Infrastructure & Capital Projects practice. Candidates should have the ability to listen to, understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work. The candidate should also have the ability to participate in client service teams performing tasks with some oversight and supervision. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that will allow you to learn and understand our practice. Consultants will be staffed on engagements where they will have the opportunity to provide an array of program and project management services.
Work you'll do
You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of different projects, across many different industries and with colleagues from around the globe. As a Senior Consultant in our practice, you will:
Provide expert guidance to clients on all aspects of the capital project delivery and execution process across the entire project lifecycle, with a focus on project controls, scheduling, cost and schedule assurance, risk analysis and avoidance, and project governance
Strategically guide infrastructure decisions to align with our clients' organizational objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects
Collaborate with client team members to gather and analyze information, prepare potential solutions, and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of deliverables
Utilize advanced construction analytics to transform complex data into actionable insights for project delivery improvement and decision-making
Provide expert financial advisory services during critical transactions and advise on resource allocation during project execution
Assessing and improving capital project programs, focusing on management processes and risk controls
Contributing to team problem-solving initiatives and generating innovative solutions to client challenges
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of deliverables and supporting proposal development

Deloitte's Infrastructure and Capital Projects team advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud. Our professionals bring vast experience, specialized skillsets, and deep industry knowledge to our clients. This personalized level of service, combined with the market reach and technical resources of the Deloitte member firms and their affiliates, enables us to respond to the complex and diverse needs of our clients around the world. The I&CP practice is a market leader in delivering solutions related to transactions and business events across the capital asset lifecycle. Our clients are in asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, power and utilities, technology & media, consumer and industrial products, healthcare, and the public sector. Our professionals, many of whom are architects and engineers with practical industry experience and advanced degrees, provide services through our Project Delivery market offering.
These services are delivered across the five primary phases of the capital asset lifecycle (Strategy & Planning, Procurement, Execution & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, and Disposal) and include assessments to capital efficiency, governance structure and process design, contractual compliance, risk management, claims management, project management, and project controls and analytics.
Qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management
4+ years of architecture/engineering/construction related experience
MUST have demonstrated extensive experience with project controls and scheduling using Primavera P6
Demonstrated experience working on major construction projects
Ability to understand and analyze construction documents
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future
Preferred:
Master's degree in architecture or engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering preferred) or construction management and MBA
At least one of the following certifications: RA, PE, ASA, PMP, CFA, CFE, CCE or CPA
Proficiency in using Project Management tools, including Oracle Unifier, Procore, Hexagon Ecosys, Kahua, Primavera P6, and Power BI
Experience in a professional services firm
International engagement experience
Multi-lingual

This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,750 - $188,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
