Asa Consultant within the Controllership group at Deloitte Risk & FinancialAdvisory, you ll be part of a team that provides a wide range of services toour clients with a comprehensive industry-focused approach. You will have theopportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leadingaccounting and finance leaders in helping them address the strategic accountingand finance opportunities and challenges facing their businesses and theirfinance functions. Additionally, you llbe involved in helping advise Federal agencies in responding to non-routinecomplex transactions as well as providing tailored technology-enabled solutionsto drive end-to-end delivery for our clients.

Work you ll do

Asa Consultant, you ll leverage advanced,technology-enabled solutions to help our clients more confidently makedecisions. Whether you are assisting our clientsdealing withnon-routine complex transactions or compliance with regulations; implementingnew and complex accounting requirements and managing through the related operationalissues; designing and delivering relevant specialized digital solutions (e.g., roboticprocess automation, cognitive intelligence, enterprise resource planning); assessingtheir controllership functions; or looking to gain transparency into their costdata,you will help our clients leverage their dataassets to better manage their risks, drive business value, and achievefinancial reporting compliance.

  • Bachelor's or Master s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Expected to beworking toward a CPA, CIA, CFA, CA, CCA, CMA, CAIA, PMP or FRM certification ora technology certification (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blackline)

  • Demonstratedleadership and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated problemsolving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to prioritizetasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity

  • Ability to workindependently and as part of team with other professionals

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Willingness andability to travel for out-of-town engagements for up to 75% of the time

  • Must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States without the need for employersponsorship, now or at any time in the future and ability to obtain a USsecurity clearance.


  • Strongacademic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)

  • Relevant workexperience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)

  • Experience with avarietyof software products andprogramming languages such as, but not limited to:

  • Languages(e.g., SQL, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, C#, C , VBA, VB.Net, ASP.Net,HTML, SAS)

  • Reporting Tools(e.g., Business Objects, Reporting Services)

  • DataVisualization Tools (e.g., QlikView, Tableau, Power Bi)

  • Configuration and implementation of finance/ accounting software applications
