As a Cloud Security Engineer in Deloitte's Fusion Managed Services, you ll workwith our diverse teams of passionate professionals to help solve for some oftoday s toughest cybersecurity challenges to enable or clients to achievebusiness growth and manage risk.

Work you ll do

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you willuse your in-depth knowledge of Cloud native security tools to support FusionManaged Services (FMS) clients in their use of cutting-edge cloud platforms.Your role will include advising FMS client base in best use of security toolsto provide maximum protective value as well as maximum benefit in enablingsecurity monitoring and threat detection. You will also use your subject matterexpertise to train and guide the FMS SOC team in best practice when respondingto threat detections originating from Cloud environments through the refinementand tuning of security detections (E.G. SIEM alerts, EDR policies anddetections) as well as definition and improvement of SOC investigation andresponse playbooks.

  • Act as subject matter expert for cloud securitytechnology

  • Provide consultation and guidance relating to cloudsecurity technologies

  • Refine and improve detections that use telemetry fromCloud native security technologies

  • Train and advise FMS SOC personnel in the optimalinvestigation procedures for alerting generated by Cloud native securitytechnologies

  • Build in house expertise on the use of Cloud securitytools through the development of job aides and playbook procedures

  • Drive solutions that will reduce gaps betweenon-premise and cloud security controls

  • Work hands-on with bleeding-edge, enterprise-gradetechnology

  • Conduct POC evaluations on emerging cloud technologyand provide insight into capabilities and limitations

  • Immerse in the latest technologies via commercialtraining and self-study

  • Build and maintain relationships with SOC analysts,security engineers, IT administrators, executives and others working for ourclients and within Deloitte

  • Keep up in a fast-paced team-oriented environment thatis continually evolving

  • Maintain extreme ownership of the goals andresponsibilities of Fusion Managed Services
