Work you'll do
Reporting to the CLO-Tax, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing our Tax technology and digital learning acceleration strategy that will enable practitioner performance today as well as embrace the needs and requirements across Tax to support the Future of Work. You are a forward-thinking leader with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders in the Tax business, across Talent as well as third-party partners to leverage research-driven methods to deliver state of the art learning and development for Tax practitioners. You will bring insights, experiences and thought leadership to define and enhance our overall tax technology and digital learning strategy as well as overseeing the programs and the teams accountable for the effectiveness of these programs, management of contractors, and internal technology rollout and maintenance. You will manage relationships with key stakeholder groups within the COE, the business, and Talent Services. You will lead, grow, oversee, and act as a coach and mentor to matrixed teams of professionals, fostering individual and team growth and creating an inclusive, high-performing team environment.
Digital & Technology Management and Strategy
Monitor future learning trends to build and execute a multi-year digital and technology learning strategy that drives innovation, is aligned to the firm's L&D priorities, and is backed by a strong change and adoption plan
Collaborate with stakeholders and advisors to lead end-to-end design, planning, execution, and measurement of technology learning strategies
Lead design and execution of the digital and tax technology learning curricula portfolio
Support strategic initiatives and projects as directed by the CLO, including creating and collecting input for leadership updates, analyzing data, and identifying trends that will inform planning decisions
Understand core technology principles, bring solid experience with different types of learning technologies, build relationships with central learning strategy and technology team(s) to provide input and determine how to use technologies for Tax learning
Conduct needs assessments with client, determine gaps in curriculum/programs, evaluate and recommend development options including buy, build and/or redesign and lead design efforts
Sustain a collaborative team culture that fosters recognition based on impact made in the business
Prepare and facilitate the fiscal year financial Plan (macro and micro) for Tax Talent Development
Partner with Tax Learning Operations on overlapping priorities and technology strategies
Strategically analyze financial and performance data and provide recommendations
Empower and support L&D team members to manage respective budgets within plan
Stakeholder Management
Build and foster strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology product owners and subject matter experts and other key stakeholders
Provide consultative expertise to identify, research, and solution operational needs
Deliver communications and reporting to stakeholders that provide insight, data, and recommendations
COE Risk Management
Through your team, support TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) and Procurement workflows regarding initiation and coordination of new vendor approval requests; managing timelines and following up as necessary
Communicate with external vendors clearly and effectively to assist Risk Management in gathering necessary information
Report on status of Procurement and Risk reviews with COE team as well as internal stakeholders to provide updates on progress, issues, and suggested solutions
Staff Development
Serve as lead and coach for team members, demonstrating commitment to their personal growth and development
Foster an inclusive team environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree; Minimum 8 years of related experience in learning strategies and methodologies, instructional technologies and operations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional services environment
Strong strategic and critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes; clear understanding of how moving pieces come together to build the big picture
Project management experience in successfully planning, managing, and delivering multiple, concurrent, and complex work streams in a matrixed organization
Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships at all levels across the organization with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus
Experience leading people/teams and a demonstrated commitment to people development
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends
Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually, and in writing, succinctly and with impact
Strong problem-solver with the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
Proficient Microsoft Office skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,030 to 211,850.
