Deloitte Senior Analyst, GPS Closeout in Rochester, New York

Job Summary:

Performs all aspects of federal contract closeouts in accordance with the FAR and GPSC current policies and procedures. Maintains a consistently higher workload than more junior team members concentrating on more complex agreements. On an annual basis closes 216 contracts/subcontracts (averaging 18 closeouts per month). Conducts peer quality assurance reviews to ensure team is in compliance with current closeout processes. Mentors junior resources as needed. Captures best practices/lessons learned for continuous process improvements and supports implementation of process improvements. Assists with training new and/or temporary employees.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the highest team average of initiated closeouts and closed contracts/orders at any given time. Ensures files are compliant prior to submitting for QA.

  • In coordination with Team's leadership, conducts Quality Assurance (QA) reviews to ensure Deloitte procedures have been followed to result in a compliant closeout.

  • Serves as a mentor to analysts and associate analysts in conducting closeout activities. Provides one-on-one training as needed.

  • Ensures SharePoint database is maintained in an accurate and up-to-date status to facilitate management reporting on demand.

  • Provides process improvement suggestions and assists in implementation and training.

  • Seeks out and participates in specials projects within the closeout team or within the division. As assigned conducts research, contributes to the development of project plans, tracks progress, and/or assists with implementation.

    Technical Skills:

Proficient Microsoft Office skills; Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; Working knowledge of: federal contracts and subcontracts, SharePoint, Cost Point, SAP, FAR and FAR supplements.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience; 4 years of experience in federal contracts or closeout environment.
