Deloitte Manager, Tech & Process Optimization in Rochester, New York

This role will partner with Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) Onboarding Leadership to lead program/project management efforts to drive innovation in onboarding systems and initiatives focused on creating efficiencies and improving the new hire experience.

Work you'll do

  • Lead and deliver strategic projects inclusive of collaborating with ELE Leadership to determine pilot participants, influencing change, developing communications plans, establishing success metrics/ROI, setting project timelines, training resources, tracking project post go-live activities and metrics, developing point of view on applicability broadly across the businesses, etc.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements to meet current and future demand.

  • Conduct research to understand and develop a point of view on future of onboarding technology. Identify, select and test innovative and strategic new tools.

  • Develop plans to implement and communicate changes and measure improvements to help drive operational excellence.

  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP's) and knowledge articles (KA's) across the onboarding team.

  • Collaborate with our USI counterparts on all activities to ensure alignment of priorities and ongoing responsibilities.

  • Lead onboarding operations and own related projects/activities including establishing clear objectives, managing delegation and completion of work, identify project issues and risks and proposing mitigation tactics and strategies.

  • Manage the growth, development, and performance management of a team of onboarding specialists.

  • Support the ELE Onboarding Leader with ongoing projects and initiatives.

    The Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) Onboarding team is part of the Talent Services (TS) channel of the Deloitte Talent Organization. TS delivers a breadth of services through an innovative and customer-centric shared services model. The TS vision is to make a global impact through a distinctive Talent experience. The ELE Onboarding team focuses on providing all new hires across the Deloitte US Firms with a smooth, consistent, and efficient onboarding experience.

    Qualifications:

  • 8+ Years in Onboarding/Recruiting/ HR Operations experience

  • 8+ Years project management experience

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including presentation expertise

  • Ability to work independently on a variety of projects in a high volume, fast paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment required

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong executive presence and experience interacting with senior leaders

  • Consultative and collaborative approach toward clients and ability to influence others

  • Excellent program/project management skills including motivating of project teams to deliver results in a timely manner

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically

  • Understanding of a shared services organization

  • Strong quality and risk management skills

  • Proficiency with Project Management tools and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and advanced Excel mandatory)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Demonstrated leadership skills by managing teams successfully

  • Technology:

  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience

  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience

  • Case Management System experience

    Preferred:

  • SAP and/or SAP Success Factors experience

  • Taleo and/or Avature experience

  • Salesforce and Snow experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
