Deloitte Program Manager - Internal Investments Operations in Richmond, Virginia
The GPS Investments Facilitation Team centrally manages internal budget (investments) supporting the growth of the GPS practice, ranging from solution development to go-to-market strategies. The team is responsible for the overall operations of this complex and highly visible initiative, including intake and evaluation of investment requests and business cases, budget allocation and tracking, and monitoring of ROI. You will engage with stakeholders from multiple disciplines to shape and advise the requests, enable leadership to make informed decisions, and monitor progress to plan. You will drive the operations for the governance of these investments to enhance visibility and drive insights.
Work you'll do in the Program Manager - Internal Investments Operations (Finance Business Partner) Role
Operations
Organize and plan the activities and oversee day-to-day operations of a team to deliver quality deliverables
Manage investment processes from budget development, intake, to monitoring/reporting
Evaluate and adjudicate investment requests through due diligence with stakeholders (tech and non-tech), identify gaps in business case, and potential overlaps and synergies with existing initiatives
Advise teams to support business case development, adhere to investments guidance/requirements
Support initiatives to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives
Communications/Reporting
Lead the preparation of meeting agendas and materials and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to enable them to make informed decisions
Coordinate reporting across qualitative and quantitative data; develop and monitor Roi and KPIs to understand progress of individual projects and impact (i.e. budget/spend monitoring and trend analysis, sales, pipeline, qualitative metrics)
Develop and execute on communications strategy to multiple Deloitte stakeholder groups
Financials
Coordinate across multiple functions including Finance to develop overall budget
Manage and communicate allocations of funding to investment groups
Monitor spend and advise on periodic forecasting
Support ad hoc financial and qualitative analyses for leadership
Talent
Mentor, counsel, and coach team members
Oversee recruiting for several rotational team roles from client service
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of consulting and/or program management experience in a professional services or similar firm
Bachelor's degree
Proven ability to successfully collaborate with stakeholders from various levels and areas of the organization
Strong communications abilities, both verbally and in writing, including storyboarding/presentations for executive audiences
Ability to connect the dots to the big picture, synthesize and present qualitative and quantitative data into digestible insights, and facilitate meetings
Self-starter mentality, the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines, comfort in dealing with ambiguity
Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in emerging technologies, new product/innovation strategy and sales & marketing enablement
Strong financial acumen and experience with financial forecasting
Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
Previous experience with business cases (authoring or evaluating) for ideas/investments
Previous experience or understanding of defining KPIs with an understanding of the product development lifecycle
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86425 to $159165.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
