The Public Relations Manager will help deliver innovative external communications strategies that build and protect the firm's brand and reputation, help position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position Deloitte executives as luminaries whose commentary enhances the Deloitte brand.
The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner who has an execution-oriented mindset and can work at both strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value communications results.
What you'll do:
Sitting within the Green Dot Agency, this role will support several areas, however a large focus will be supporting Deloitte's Sustainability and ESG Services team within our Audit & Assurance practice. This team provides environmental, social, and governance advisory, reporting, and assurance services to clients across all industries. The position requires strong media relations skills and the ability to write and edit content well.
The ideal candidate will be a public relations professional with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization and be able to:
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive external communication objectives and programs designed to strategically position Deloitte in the marketplace.
Serve as a trusted advisor and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership.
Serve as a key media contact and be responsible for enhancing and cultivating relationships with the media.
Help prepare leaders to represent the firm through external channels.
Drive external eminence for Deloitte through proactively pitching stories positioning the firm, senior leadership, and other industry leaders as valuable media sources on specific topics.
Prepare spokespeople and leaders for media interviews and speaking engagements by providing refresher media training as appropriate, and facilitating and coordinating media training for spokespeople when required.
Employ strong project management skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results.
Manage and work with less experienced members of the team, to ensure successful results, and help them develop the skills necessary to reach the next level in their career.
Manage external PR agency resources.

Communications professional with a minimum of 10+ years relevant experience
A bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, English, public relations or journalism
Proven success in developing and executing external communications strategy and communications plans for a large business, preferably in professional services
Experience within the ESG space
Experience developing and executing executive positioning programs and working with senior leaders and the teams who support them
Ability to successfully engage and lead team members, providing effective guidance, coaching and capability development, maintaining close understanding of all team activities, ensuring high quality for all activities/deliverables, and implementing course corrections when needed
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs.

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425-$159,165.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
