Work You'll Do

The Specialist possesses subject matter expertise (SME) in specific platforms, technologies, specific domain and/or tools that are strategic to the operation of the firm. The deep technical and for functional knowledge, comprehensive skill sets, and relevant project experience ensures that project needs are met. The specialist will lead efforts in enterprise software administration, programming, and analysis. Experience should be at least 8 years or more.


  • Support and maintenance of Deltek Process Integration, working knowledge of ABAP and Fiori an advantage

  • Identify and Design integration requirements

  • Supporting System upgrades which includes Impact/gap analysis, applying patches, development, testing and deployment activities

  • Coordinating with Project and Support teams to finalize release dates for projects. Check system dependencies and application dependencies for the projects before deployment

  • Ensure the production support process are followed as designed

  • Responsible for maintaining production tickets, white papers, service groups, and product maintenance as defined by the channel.

  • Co-ordination with Development teams on implementing recommendations

  • Doing the impact analysis on existing system for any new product, application, project or technology

  • Doing technology assessment for technology trends, conducting proof of concept and cost assessment

  • Work with team members and product owners to understand, analyze, recommend, plan, design and implement solutions to meet usability, performance, quality and security requirements

  • Architect, design, implement world-class products and solutions. Develop functional architecture design and contribute to product vision

  • Manage clients, complex projects, drive business requirement gathering, manage scope and client expectations

  • Designs long-term, reliable, and end-to-end technical architectures. Develop functional architecture design and contribute to product vision

  • Transforms detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document and design consistent, extensible and integrated data access enterprise components across distinct data sources and platforms

  • Supports creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design and build business intelligence from distinct integration points

  • Provide inputs to create Agile user stories based on marketing business requirements

  • Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements and applicability to the current or planned Platform/Enabler/API Platform capabilities

  • Participate in E2E functionality assessment during Validation Testing phases (SIT, UAT)

  • Experience with technical programming; capable of managing and overseeing teams designing, programming and implementing various technical solutions

  • Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers/testers

  • Work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications

  • Executes on tasks as defined and managed by the Enterprise Architect and/or Engagement Manager.

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools that empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience leading technical teams

  • Minimum of 6+ years of industry related experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in SAP Process Integration or Orchestration/Deltek Costpoint on large enterprise projects around product implementation, configuration, development and support.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, related discipline, or equivalent experience. While an advanced degree is preferred, the value is placed on the extent of the relevant experience and accomplishments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in subject matter area desired, but not required.

  • Familiarity with Local, State, and Federal government processes.

  • Intermediate Azure Dev Ops understanding.

  • Knowledge of Agile and SAFe Agile processes

  • Understanding of design and project management of business software solutions; channel specific business and domain (functional/technical) knowledge; project software development life cycle experience; project software development lifecycle exposure.

  • Awareness of architecture standards design and implementation (including strategy, user experience, performance, controls, stability, quality, innovation, and enterprise security requirements).

  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint as it relates to Project Management.

  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the client business organization.

  • Able to take a complex set of requirements and formulate functional specifications for development.

  • Able to define testing strategy, as needed, to support development and maintenance of assigned products.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Mentors the development, delivery, and support teams.

  • System and data integration, transformation, monitoring, and systematic problem solving.

  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies (i.e. Agile, KANBAN, SAFe).

  • Functional/technical implementation across multiple products and platforms.

  • Intermediate MS Office skills.

  • Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $95,070-192,590.

    You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
