Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.
Systems Engineering professionals focus on key clients that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.
Deloitte Consulting's Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) group is composed of service professionals who have a wealth of experience serving technology, media and telecommunications companies in areas including software, semiconductors, cable, publishing, film studios, electronic games and internet companies, communication utilities, networking, wireless, computers and peripherals and related industries. These specialists understand the challenges that these companies face throughout all stages of their business growth cycle and are committed to helping them succeed .
Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals
People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices
8 years of relevant consulting or industry experience managing, implementing and delivering systems
8 years working in the telecommunications including communication service providers, infrastructure and equipment., semiconductor and technology-based companies
5 years of experience managing multiple and/or large engagements and comfort presenting to senior leadership and executives at Fortune 500 organizations
5 years planning and managing project initiatives as a project/tech manager for large-scale systems implementations.
3 years of experience with Project Management Tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint
Deep management and leadership skills for requirements analysis and guiding projects throughout the SDLC on requirements, change requests and successful delivery
5 years of experience with Requirements Management and Traceability tools
Experience in leading engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.
Travel at 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

In addition, successful Senior Managers will have the following preferred background:
Experience of projects involving solution development based on cloud (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS), web or mobile application architecture
Experience of leading fit gap analysis for migrating applications to cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Force.com
Experience or passion for leading testing of applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Force.com and/or Google Cloud Platform
Experience is enterprise transformation from a monolithic base architecture to microservice based architecture
Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies
Experience in Relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server / CosmosDB / MongoDB etc.)
Experience in at least one programming language (i.e. C#, Java, Python, R).
Experience implementing and automating models created by data science teams (i.e. Spark, Scala, Hive, Python, R, etc.)
Experience in Angular/Angular JS, React JS and Node JS.
Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms
Experience with data modeling and normalization concepts.
Experience with data visualizations tools like SSRS, PowerBI & Tableau.
Prior experience in e- commerce, EDI, B2B architectures
Experience working with code repositories and continuous integration (i.e. Git, Jenkins, etc.)
Developed practical solutions and methodologies, develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, get published in industry periodicals.
Strong project management and delivery experience, including project planning, budget oversight and staffing of project teams including time management.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Experience with selling to C-level executives and other business development activities.
Previous experience mentoring, training and developing junior members of the team; experience in employee performance reviews.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint). Working knowledge and experience of MS Office applications and training development tools.
