Risk and Financial Advisory - Lead Business Analyst

As a Lead Business Analyst in our Hybrid-Operate group, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries.
Work you'll do
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will work on client teams supporting our technology products - including onboarding new client implementations, performing data analytics, and expanding existing business features and functionality to meet client needs. You will be working with other analysts and developers to identify and address technical and non-technical issues. Other responsibilities may include:
Helping clients streamline operations, automate tasks, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, portfolio monitoring and operations functions
Advising clients on tailored solutions for their reporting and infrastructure needs, while managing expectations regarding final deliverables and timing
Facilitating use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
Gathering and analyzing client requirements, and configuring products and implementation to meet those requirements
Conducting User Acceptance Testing of system enhancements and new applications, including initial root cause analysis of failures
Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, and systems training
Building reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS and, ad-hoc queries and dashboards leveraging market leading business intelligence tools
Overseeing a team of business analysts and provide constructive on-the-job feedback
Ensuring timely billing of clients

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City or Jersey City, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City, Jersey City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,496 - $157,494.
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field (or foreign equivalent)
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the banking, investment management or financial services marketplace
Experience in Fund Finance (Subscription, NAV and Hybrid facilities) and/or Structured finance is preferred
A solid understanding of database systems and financial technologies
A background in interpreting legal documents (such as LPAs) along with an understanding of common fund structures
Understanding of alternative investment vehicles
Strong comfort with Microsoft Excel (proficiency with Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Array operations to name a few), SQL, and/or Oracle and additional knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Python or R) is a plus
Experience improving business processes and modeling/translate financial concepts
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
