Risk and Financial Advisory Overview:

Our Risk and Financial Advisory group is comprised of more than 10,000 partners, managers and staff. We help solve our clients most complex financial instrument and physical market challenges by delivering risk advisory, technical accounting, quantitative, technology and operational advisory services. Specifically, our consulting projects include risk assessment and solution implementation for business strategies and policies, business processes, organization structure, risk modeling, management reporting and treasury, trading and risk systems. We help clients obtain, analyze and report information from multiple sources and across risk classes to facilitate tactical and strategic decision making.

Work you ll do

The Sr. Consultant is responsible for working with the corporate risk and/or audit function of an organization focusing on advanced data visualization, analytics and reporting. A Sr. Consultant must have strong knowledge within the Operational Risk Management function.

The Sr. Consultant is responsible for leading projects including but not limited to:

  • Transforming risk management frameworks across industry sectors to deliver enhanced insights.

  • Help with developing infrastructure and integrated platforms (e.g., datalakes), including enterprise risk data structures which are used to apply advanced digital analytics such as RPA, cognitive, machine learning, artificial intelligence.

  • Preparing data across data stores to product visualizations and dashboards using BI tools in support of requirements from the business and risk areas.

  • Developing and maintaining enterprise risk reporting, and understanding data lineage, taxonomies and processes related to operational risk management.

  • Gathering requirements and designing insightful reports from across multiple data stores to create dashboards and visualizations using industry leading tools.

Travel to client sites will also be required. We are seeking an individual either with consulting experience or with experience working in a related function who can make a successful transition to a consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience working and managing a team in the Operational Risk Management function who is eager to help enhance risk insights through transformed and modernized risk management processes.

  • Bachelor s degree required in business, finance, accounting or other related subject.

  • Must have familiarity with traditional structured data / ETL extraction, plus noSQL database structures and Big Data clustering techniques used to extract insight from data.

  • Strong background in data preparation and quality assurance steps required for applying advanced data analytic solutions.

  • Working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview and/or Splunk is preferred.

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of risk management framework type of insights desired by the business and a willingness to learn from domain experts to build knowledge.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to document architectural diagrams, requirements, specifications and proposals to clients for recommended data / platform.
