Location: Flexible (Rosslyn preferred)

Travel: This position will require approximately 25% travel.

This position is responsible for providing strategic marketing and leadership for Deloitte s Federal Health sector which includes a portfolio of US Federal Government health care agencies.

The Strategic Marketing Planner oversees strategy and planning for integrated marketing and communications plans that support the Government & Public Services practice s Federal Health sector. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization.

What you ll do:

  • As a Strategic Marketing Planner with Deloitte Services LP you will contribute to the growth and development of our organization in a variety of ways, including:

  • To serve as marketing and communications strategic trusted advisor to leadership, business and key stakeholders in our Federal Health practice

  • To develop and drive marketing and communications programs that engage current clients, perspective clients and talent

  • To develop marketing strategy focused on key business priorities and execute this strategy across priority campaigns to build Deloitte s brand in the marketplace

  • To plan, design, and execute issue-based priority campaigns, utilizing an integrated approach including messaging development, events, social events, content, social, digital, public relations, and lead generation

  • To team and pull through relevant campaign activations driven by others

  • To create interactive experiences to connect with buyers to enhance brand awareness around capabilities and offerings

  • To interact with account leadership to ensure issue alignment and account activation of marketing campaigns

  • To collaborate across the organization to design and deliver engaging, creative campaigns

  • To plan and manage a marketing budget

  • To develop metrics and KPIs to measure success and communicate this impact story to leadership and across the organization

  • To manage, develop and support other team members, as appropriate

  • The team:

  • The Strategic Marketing Planner serves as trusted marketing and communications advisor to key business leaders and stakeholders within the Federal Health practice. They are part of the Government & Public Services Marketing Communications team, and report to the Government & Public Services Industry Marketing Leader.

Skills and competencies:

  • Deep understanding of government and B2B marketing, with a focus on brand strategy, issue positioning, client engagement, and immersive experiences

  • Familiarity with government health and health care ecosystem including federal and state agencies, commercial health care, industry associations and not for profit organizations

  • Understanding of experiential technology and ways to connect it to client needs

  • Analyzes past activities and consistently thinks beyond boundaries and brings new ideas to the table

  • Strong communicator, comfortable managing to results - provides strategic counsel, asks good questions, challenges the status quo, suggests alternatives and is able to articulate pros and cons, along with expected ROI

  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex priorities efficiently and effectively

  • Ability to make connections in highly matrixed environment, with eye on collaboration and integration, across all levels of the organization

  • Strong listening and persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted

  • Ability to workin a virtual environment

Qualifications include:

Required:

  • 12 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on government, B2B marketing and communications strategy and planning; professional services experience preferred

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing, Communications or a related business field

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results, experience developing marketing KPIs

  • Deep understanding of Digital and Social media strategy and tools

  • Experience building marketplace campaigns that build brand awareness, client engagement and enhance issue positioning to influence wins

  • Experience developing omni-channel strategies and bringing innovative campaigns to market

This position does require approximately 25 % travel.
