What You ll Do

The Sr. Manager HF COE Reporting and Analytics will be responsible for leading and evolving the Record to Report responsibilities of the team focused on financial and operational reporting for the hybrid businesses (Products, Managed Services and Software). The role will ultimately be responsible for closing the books and delivering period by period financial analysis to hybrid businesses as well as reporting into Deloitte Finance. The Sr. Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriate organizational structure design in order to support the evolving client base as well as implementing best practices across the group. The role also includes working closely with the M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) and business development teams on integrating new acquisitions as well as understanding reporting requirements and developing reports and metrics to meet the needs of the acquired business. The role also requires that the Sr. Manager continuously engage and work with its Stakeholders to understand evolving needs and ensure positioned appropriately for future requirements. With the expected growth in hybrid activity over the next few years, the role will also be responsible for ensuring that the function is positioned and capable of supporting such growth.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management support to the hybrid reporting and analytics team ensuring timely and accurate reports are delivered efficiently to business partners.

  • Manage the Record to Report and period end close process for hybrid businesses.

  • Work closely with M&A Finance and Corporate Development to integrate acquired entities into the HF COE reporting structure. Solve complex integration issues to meet the acquired business needs and ensure Deloitte accounting standards are adhered to.

  • Collaborate with Revenue & Analytics team to optimize reporting capabilities. Continuously look to streamline the record to report processes to improve efficiencies and the timely provision of accurate data to business leaders.

  • Develop best practices to ensure scalability for new acquisitions, handle organic growth and ingest other Deloitte Hybrid businesses to be supported by the COE.

  • Provide ongoing training, development and motivation to the Reporting and Analytics team.

  • Develop team bandwidth and skills to provide improve decision support for hybrid business leaders to help them better run their business operationally and financially.

  • Work with Finance to ensure proper revenue recognition and capitalized software rules are adhered to per GAAP and Firm policies. Work with Firm tax to ensure proper allocation of new product revenues within Deloitte legal entity structure.

  • Team with Stakeholders on financial reporting requirements. Interpret financial results and provide accounting advice and guidance to senior financial and operating management where necessary.

  • Develop/refine processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements and work closely with IT and key business owners to drive key system initiatives and improvements.

  • Anticipate needs and challenges that a growing organization will face and provide proactive staffing and reporting solutions.

  • Other responsibilities include but not limited to special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned.
