Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Consultant, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Parsippany, NJ and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Designing, implementing, and operating solutions for custom-developed systems, platform integration, and application modernization to enable core business capabilities. Synthesizing overall operations strategy by analyzing a wide variety of business solutions. Selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinating activities between workstreams and identifying changes in scope. Participating in various aspects of the full software development lifecycle for software applications, which may including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Evaluating clients technology needs, developing customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identifying and mitigating risks in process and technology for client engagements. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Developing dashboard wireframes and designing requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations. Developing and maintaining project deliverables for clients for all phases of the software development lifecycle to substantially build the system functionalities. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Tracking application defects using defect tracking tools; coordinating defect resolution efforts, and documenting resolution details. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Designing sub-components of larger application systems; integrating the applications with each other and continuously optimizing the system structure to improve stability and performance. Preparing User Stories from capability metrics utilizing Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, MS Visio, and Rally. Creating and managing command center activities including pre-migration, post-migration, and warranty support. Creating wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards utilizing MS Visio, PowerPoint, data flow diagram (DFD), and flowcharts. Designing phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) design, and end-to-end (E2E) design using MS Office, Rally, and Jira. Creating Requirement Traceability Matrix to trace and track the requirement lifecycle utilizing Rally. Performing system gap and impact analysis using MS Office and Industry standard frameworks and templates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), MIS, CIS, Information Technology or a related field.

  • Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have two years of experience with:

  • Preparing User Stories from capability metrics utilizing JAD sessions, MS Visio, and Rally;

  • Creating and managing command center activities including pre-migration, post-migration, and warranty support;

  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards utilizing MS Visio, PowerPoint, DFD, and flowcharts;

  • Designing phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement design, UAT design, and E2E design using MS Office, Rally, and Jira;

  • Creating Requirement Traceability Matrix to trace and track the requirement lifecycle utilizing Rally;

  • Performing system gap and impact analysis using MS Office and Industry standard frameworks and templates.

  • In the alternative, employer will accept 3 years of post-secondary studies and 3 years of experience in the skills enumerated above.

  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience acceptable.

  • 80% travel required.
