Lead Compensation Manager, Emerging Technology

Deloitte is aggressively acquiring, developing and scaling alternative business models such as Intellectual Property-based (IP-Based") businesses to complement the traditional services offerings across the core functions of consulting, advisory, tax and audit. IP-based businesses offer client s technology, content, data or analytic solutions with recurring subscription revenue business models. The combination of IP-based businesses with Deloitte s traditional service offerings are referred to as Hybrids . The Hybrid Talent Team is a relatively new team with a primary focus to support Hybrid Businesses in implementing priority talent solutions, promote cross-business collaboration, and meet the differentiated talent needs of the Hybrid Businesses.

The Emerging Technology Compensation Lead will report to the Hybrid Talent Team Leader with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Total Rewards - Compensation Center of Excellence (COE). The Emerging Technology Compensation Lead is responsible for working with Hybrid Talent Business Advisors and Hybrid Business Leaders and in coordination with the overall business on compensation consultation, design, implementation, and administration across Deloitte s Hybrid portfolio. The Emerging Technology Compensation Lead will actively look for ways to address the unique needs of each Hybrid business, making recommendations, interpreting policies and procedures, assessing market competitiveness and developing, socializing and implementing strategic, competitive solutions. S/he will need to be closely connected to the Compensation Managers for the respective businesses as well as with the Total Rewards Compensation CoE Leader, to whom the position will report and will lead projects in areas such as job assessment and benchmarking, salary range development and other forms of compensation/incentive program design and take on other projects as needed by the Hybrid Business, Hybrid Talent Team and Total Rewards Compensation COE.

Work you ll do

  • Partner with the Total Rewards Compensation CoE to develop Hybrid-based solutions that reflect their compensation strategy and business objectives

  • Design, develop, test, socialize and implement incentive and other variable pay programs aligned to the competitive market and Hybrid business strategies, and assist in the development of performance-based KPIs that link to Hybrid incentive programs

  • In coordination with the Total Rewards Compensation CoE, lead job benchmarking, compensation survey assessment and analysis, and competitive market intelligence and drive insights to help inform strategic positioning of Hybrid compensation in the market

  • In partnership and coordination with the Total Rewards Compensation CoE, partner with Hybrid Talent and Hybrid Business Leaders to support the development and management of overall annual compensation budgets as well as specific allocations working closely with Hybrid Team Talent and Business Leaders and the Total Rewards Compensation COE to facilitate the annual compensation process

  • Develop and facilitate compensation communication and education for the Hybrid Business Leaders and professionals in conjunction with their overall Business and in cooperation with the Total Rewards Compensation COE

  • Analyze and report outcomes, comparisons to market trends, and future recommendations both formally and informally to Hybrid Talent and Hybrid Business Leaders
