Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consultant, Strategy and Analytics, Analytics and Cognitive in Parsippany, New Jersey and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You ll Do
Design and develop highly-scalable and reliable data solutions to integrate and analyze large volumes of complex data using Big Data technologies Cloudera Distributed Hadoop (CDH), Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA). Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Structured Query Language (SQL) and Big Data technologies. Gather solution requirements to develop business metrics and analytical insights using data. Assist the business with data-related technical and functional issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics; develop data products incrementally integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
80% travel required nationally.

BACHELORS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING (ANY) OR A RELATED FIELD AND ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST ALSO HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: WORKING ACROSS ALL PHASES OF THE AGILE METHODOLOGY PROJECT DELIVERY LIFECYCLE FOR DESIGNING, DEVELOPING, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTING BIG DATA SOLUTIONS, DATA ANALYTICS, DATA VISUALIZATION, DATA MANAGEMENT, AND OFSAA SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS; INTERACTING DIRECTLY WITH STAKEHOLDERS IN GATHERING FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZING CLIENT REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATING REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS THAT SATISFY BUSINESS NEEDS USING CONFLUENCE WIKI, ATLASSIAN JIRA, GIT, MICROSOFT (MS) POWERPOINT, VISIO AND SHAREPOINT; UTILIZING CLOUDERA HADOOP, CONFLUENT KAFKA, OFSAA, ARCADIA DATA, UNIX, PROCEDURAL LANGUAGE (PL/SQL) AND SQL FOR THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF DATA SOLUTIONS; TRACKING AND REPORTING ON PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUS TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATING UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING ATLASSIAN JIRA, CONFLUENCE, SHAREPOINT, POWERPOINT AND VISIO; UTILIZING BASH SHELL, INTELLIJ INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT (IDE), ECLIPSE INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT (IDE), TOAD AND SQL DEVELOPER IN THE PROCESS OF PROJECT-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES THAT INCLUDE WRITING CODE IN SQL AND DEBUGGING CODE TO SOLVE DEFECTS; ANALYZING AND DOCUMENTING CURRENT-STATE SYSTEMS, PROCESSES, AND ENVIRONMENTS TO SUPPORT PROJECT DESIGN OF FUTURE-STATE SYSTEMS, PROCESSES, AND ENVIRONMENTS USING CONFLUENT KAFKA, CLOUDERA HADOOP, OFSAA, ARCADIA DATA, PYTHON, UNIX, PL/SQL, AND SQL; SUPPORTING AND PERFORMING UNIT TESTING TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT SOLUTIONS; DESIGNING AND DELIVERING USER MANUALS AND TRAINING FOR SOLUTIONS TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION, ADOPTION, AND MAINTENANCE OF DATA SOLUTIONS IN BIG DATA/HIVE, OFSAA AND USING CONCEPTS IN DATA WAREHOUSE, DATA LAKE, AND DATA VISUALIZATION; SUPPORTING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS; AND UTILIZING CONFLUENT (KAFKA) KSQL/SQL, TABLEAU, JUPYTER NOTEBOOK, ORACLE AND APACHE TOOLS IMPALA, SPARK, LIVY, ZOOKEEPER AND SCOOP FOR THE COMPLETION OF TASKS THAT INCLUDE WRITING CODE IN QUERY LANGUAGE TO BUILD DATA PIPELINES, CREATING TEST CASES TO EVALUATE PRODUCTS, DATA ANALYSIS, DATA MIGRATION, DATA MODELING, DATA MAPPING AND DATA REPORTING.
