Deloitte Business Architecture Associate VP - Hybrid Business Design - NBI_US in Parsippany, New Jersey
Work you'll do:
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Business Architecture is a critical role in advancing Deloitte's US Consulting-wide New Business Growth agenda.
The AVP serves as a strategic counterpart to the Consulting General Manager (GM) of an emerging hybrid (software and services) business. Using an internal corporate innovation approach, this role activates key business constructs among hybrid business leaders - from business models and market validation to monetization and ecosystem strategy. The AVP is expected to challenge strategic choices early in and throughout the offering lifecycle. Guiding Practice stakeholders in strategic choices throughout the business lifecycle on these topics, the AVP helps ensure efficiency, scale and success of Deloitte's hybrid business investments.
The AVP of Business Architecture will collaborate with teams across US Consulting - including Industries and Sectors, Market Strategy, Pricing/ Monetization, Finance, Ecosystem Management, Product Management, Solution Architecture, Risk/ Legal, Commercialization, and Offerings - to draw on deeper subject matter expertise in various areas across the offering lifecycle as a business matures from incubation through scale.
The AVP will also serve as a leader of "Center of Excellence" responsibilities for the Business Architecture group, overseeing the development and continuous improvement of associated methodologies, best practices, standard team documentation and execution of workstreams. This focus aims to maximize value for key stakeholders through the impact on hybrid businesses by driving additional efficiencies across the Business Architecture and incubation content.
The AVP helps to manage the intake of qualified businesses within the Business Architecture approach, working with other Business Architecture leaders to prioritize workstreams and support effective operations. This role will be a primary lead in improving incubation module content, methodology and tactics, and own the continuous improvement of materials in collaboration with all Business Architecture functions, Green House teams, and other enabling capabilities in the National Office.
Essential functions of this role include:
Provide ongoing advisement to practice leadership throughout the offering lifecycle on strategic business plan choices
Orchestrate incubation module, including labs, execution to challenge and improve upon ongoing decision-making of Practice leaders throughout the hybrid business lifecycle
Manage "Center of Excellence" functions for Business Architecture group to drive toward continuous improvement in approach and methodology
Work with Business Architecture leadership to manage intake and pipeline of qualified businesses, ensuring optimal execution of workstreams
Navigate within/ outside of NBI to leverage deeper subject matter expertise as needed and remove friction
Continually improve understanding of pricing and monetization options for various business models to advise for maximize profitability and offer creative deal/ commercial structures
Understand Independence, Risk, OGC, and Enterprise Portfolio Management foundations and employ strategies to effectively navigate this landscape
Maintain fluency in market trends, voice of the customer and competitive landscape for relevant markets associated with specific offerings
Help translate market validation analysis into recommendations on how to shape, pivot and/ or grow a business
Collaborate with Product Managers to develop "one-to-many" asset-enabled offerings that leverage Deloitte's scaled delivery platforms and are architected for "hybrid operate" plays in the market
Develop BA community of practice across levels through mentorship and coaching by being a trusted, empathetic leader that grows others
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Economics, Marketing or equivalent field
7-10 years of demonstrated success in fast-paced strategic roles with progressively advancing responsibility for shaping and pivoting business strategies for new/ nascent and existing technology-enabled offerings
Strong working knowledge of business models, business model innovation/ incubation, and experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Market Strategy, Pricing/ Monetization, Finance, Ecosystem Management, and/ or Product Management
Skillful executive presence and presentation skills, with demonstrable ability to tactfully and effectively influence upward decision making
Proven ability to successfully collaborate with internal stakeholders from various levels and areas across a matrixed organization and drive successful outcomes cross-functionally
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
